Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Why not buy every one you see on BaT and just resell it through your dealership with considerable markup?
Oh believe me, I will be back hunting them

It did before yesterday. They said it still had the roof rack. Looks to have been well maintained based on the service history. I was actually leaning towards the LX before this one popped up close by. We’ll see how it looks in person.

The San Antonio one is pretty rough. Clean frame but there was a tear in the back seat and just didn’t look like it was babied, which at 90k miles would be what I would want.

There was a 2016 LC out northwest back in Jan with that color that was priced really good. It sold within a day or two.

can't see it now but here was the thread:

Hahaha...the competition for this practice is through the roof at BAT. Did you see the last HE going for $120k? Practically only dealers fighting for it in the end. I wonder how is that even possible paying that much+fees and selling it for a profit. There must be more fools out there than I can count.

Contributing my find. I just purchased a 2008 LX570 with 180k miles for 12k. After fees from auction house I’ll be into it for a total of $13300. I was a runner up in the bid, but the winner didn’t pay so I was contacted to see if I was interested in buying for my highest bid. Unless. The frame and diffs are rusted. The radiator is cracked. The alternator is cooked. The valley plate is leaking. The AHC is dead. And the serpentine belt is rotted :)

No doubt there will be rust on the truck as Carfax shows a life of New York and Minnesota. I have the pleasure to drive it home from Minneapolis to Austin next weekend, so I'll soon discover if there's any significant issue as I acclimate with my first 200 series. I'm seriously considering this vehicle to replace my LC250 but will know if it's a keeper after the extended introduction road trip

Seems like a deal. Why don't they show any undercarraige photos at the auction?

Definitely a concern but luckily I was able to search the VIN of this truck and found a separate listing from 30k miles ago where undercarriage was on display. It's not perfect, but not bad which gave me a base level of understanding the condition.

In my humble opinion, it is pretty rare for rust on a 200 to rise to the level of structural impact. But is certainly unsightly and affects the price. In other words, probably not a ton of risk at that price and likely won't matter until you sell it. For a $50k-$70k truck sure, worth investigating or baking in $$ to dry ice blast, etc.

If you are buying to put 100k miles on it, it probably won't matter.

This just popped up on Autotrader. Seems to be reasonably priced for an HE and mileage…posting just in case anyone is in the market for one-Probably to good to be true as the dealer has no reviews and hasn’t been in business for very long🤷🏻‍♂️

I’d say exceptionally well priced if that’s real.
