The broken door is a really easy fix.I saw this 2018 that’s on BaT today:

2018 Toyota Land Cruiser URJ200
Bid for the chance to own a 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser URJ200 at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #237,016.bringatrailer.com
A lot of good things, but unfortunately a couple of glaring issues. Namely oil seepage on both sides of the engine along with a broken HVAC recirculation door.
The broken door is a really easy fix.
What is the source of the oil leak? And the oil leaks are in the photos lol.
Swear everyone expects every single 200 to be void of any issues whatsoever lol.
Buy it and solve the issues or dont and let someone else snatch it if they so desire.
That’s my point though. Go into the transaction eyes wide open. If you haven’t owned a 200 before and all you read about is how they are so reliable, it doesn’t take more than a couple of gotchas to have a sour experience. There’s some internet lore around the Land Cruiser that doesn’t jive with the ownership experience, especially as you get up in mileage. Typically they aren’t issues that leave you stranded, but that’s possible too. Set aside 5% of final bid to bring the truck up to spec, or don’t. I’ve seen far too many bidders expect a pristine example of whatever they’re bidding on end up not being what they expect in person. And that’s far more normal than folks let on when it comes to the auction buying experience. And the oil leaks are in the photos lol.

Rough idea of cost to fix?
AKA - BAT Effect. The lore is effect is real.
Only another $40k to go before it's in the realm of fair value...
they've discounted it..by $19K! now only $129k! what a steal
I don't get why PO would post it here and three days later sell to a dealer for waaay less than what he was asking here.Looks like dealer got the 2018 HE that was on here. They got it listed for $69k.

Sure, I get that, but why then come here and offer it? Were they expecting a BAT-style battle for a higher-than-asked price?People have their reasons. There is value in convenience and certainty of close.
