Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Buyer really does have some sweet rides though.

What year and mileage?
2013 with 318,000 on it. Not sure if anyone ever sat in the back seats or if the third row was ever folded down. Single owner who was also a friend.

One of those "the older person has a great vehicle I pine for and takes great care of it and would love to have it one day" situations that came to fruition.

"Old person that drove all over the place". I bought my 2013 with 210k and that seemed like a lot. Yours average 25k / year. Great way to get a great deal though. Enjoy!

Indeed. He had a ranch in West Texas he would drive to monthly as well a beach house on the Florida panhandle so I knew the majority of the miles were interstate cruising. Still miles, but at least I know what they were.

Check this one out - I don't think it's a scam, high mileage with a blown engine.

What’s the rough math on fuel costs?
About as much as the car for those 300k miles?

I was more thinking either swapping a 3ur in it or parts truck
For sure for sure. Only kind of joking. For $4K you really couldn't go wrong either way. I bet you could find a Tundra 3UR pretty easy

Well, some basic math with some average numbers has it at about 70k in just fuel over the last 13 years. Add in all the maintenance he did and it for sure is at least a sub-100k 16+.

Granted, the costs would exist no matter what. Something, something, opportunity cost, something, something, law of diminishing returns... There is also something to be said for a vehicle you know and trust vs something new and unproven.

My plan is to get it to 500k before retiring it or turning it into a dedicated trail-rig.

Really an unreal result, I really hope the buyer is on here to explain why they wanted this one. $70K brings a lot of 200 series options, so must have some affinity for this color and gen. This had similar mileage and 7 years newer HE, totally worth an extra $10K to me. And I feel like people on BaT aren't financing and that $10K makes that much of a difference.

Yeah this is exactly my point.

Aftermarket mods kill some value though. Stock that thing probably goes for 85-90.

Went and looked at it. Tried to get more info on the motor but no one I talked to could speak on it. More rust than I liked. Not terrible but not great… which I expected it’s a park city truck. Front end has definitely been wrecked at some point and the biggest take away was the rust on the passenger door. Didn’t take as many undercarriage pics as I woulda liked but it’s kinda rusty. Overall it’s a pass for me but could be a good come up for someone.

Poor thing. Will probably be stripped for parts.
