Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

I was mostly referring to wholesale (what a dealer would pay) vs retail, but yes. I would very much say that. As a private party individual, you should not make a concession on your vehicle just because you are a private party seller- especially on a 200 series where most buyers willing to fork out the dough would probably rather have an enthusiast owner selling them their car vs a dealership anyways (the one in Oregon). Also, buying a car from a dealership seriously sucks 9 times out of 10

You seem to imply this with your previous reply. Why are you saying that the truck was worth $43k when you’re not saying that 52 wasn’t a fantastic deal? If that car is worth $43k and you pay $52k, that’s a bad deal lol

It really depends on how you want to look at it. Someone would totally pay the $65k for that truck on BAT like I had mentioned in that guys sale thread. Could it go for lower? Sure, but not by much. If it has all the boxes checked and it is documented in the auction, do you really find it that hard to believe? Sub 70k mile 100’s are selling in the 50’s-70’s on there right now. And having sold quite a few cars on there my self, it always ends up being worth it (higher than retail price result)

This much is clear. This thread is for sales data, not how much you think something is worth. There’s plenty of nice ones out there with tan interiors for cheaper. How about you go buy one and tell us what you paid for it? But please actually go buy one this time. Don’t commit to buying another one and then get cold feet and make up a lame excuse to back out of the deal. It’s called kicking tires and it sucks for the seller
Wholesale the dealer offered him $45K. That is first hand info.

As far as fantastic deal at 45K vs 52K...52 includes superchager....so not apples to apples there..

BAT brings a lot more, a lot less, it's a gamble. As from what I can tell about the seller, he didn't seem to care about making another 10K going through the BAT experience. Again, first hand info.

As far as my commentary in this thread, it's about as useful as your unsolicited advice in someone's For Sale ad.
Bangers like these..
I’m under the camp where if you think this truck is not rust free, you are a complete idiot

Trust me, I won't be buying anything from you so you don't have to worry about it. thanks!

I didn’t mean it, I swear. Please reconsider your decision of not buying anything from me! I’ve changed!

Edit: also, talk about kicking tires! You wasted some of the sellers time on the phone, didn’t you? 🤣

Really though, all the best to you bud. I’m done picking on you. Go on and get yourself a nice one for a great price.

No one talk to any sellers please. Better buy on the spot. Don't ask any questions, you are wasting time.

Data point to add, we're picking up a rust-free black/black '17 with 150k from a dealer in TN, paid $40k. They said yes quickly enough that I probably left $1k on the table lol - very excited to finally get into a 200! First stop is the local Krown franchise, that stuff has worked wonders on my 80

And...it's gone! 😅
Yeah, it was up for less than 12 hours. As a data point for anyone who missed it.

There was also another white HE that went live on Audi Broomfield (Colorado) this morning with 27k miles. No photos or price listed but it must have been a deal seeing as it has already sold as well.

What's the better buy here? (both clean carfax)

2008 214k miles $16k. Service history not excellent. Love the way it looks.

2013 $27k truck with 114k miles, also questionable interior, and lack of good service records. Seems worth the extra $10k?

Is there an option 3? Not sure what the appeal is with either of these to be honest. If it's going to be a trail only rig I suppose the first option would be my pick. Spend the money saved on base lining and mods.

This one's too far for me but how about this for option 3?

Option 3 might be a GX, LOL, There’s not a lot of rust free, clean 200s for a $25k budget. I can push it if necessary, but I’m ok with rough edges as long as reliability isn’t sacrificed, won’t see trails just lots of snow and bad roads and hauling crap around.

I have a lead on a 2013 LC, 180,000 miles at 27.5K..

Question: Is the consensus that I need to spend $30k+ to get one that isn’t a ****-box? If so, that’s what I will do.

Here's a 2010 , 174k miles, asking $19k. Texas all its life. No carfax though so I have no idea of maintenance history.

This. Much better buy from an enthusiast here than those two trash cans that you have no idea about previous maintenance. By the looks of the interior, very little chance they were taken care properly.

I'm in Kansas City, we're neighbors. I don't think I'm manly enough to pull off the brushguard look, I'd have a fear of being a poser since the most rugged terrain I'm going to cover is I70 west up into the Rockies.
