Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Moving to Detroit and will have to commute. Thinking about getting a new Outback, 250 or GX with driver assist features for the highway. We want to keep the 200 but its not practical for us to have a 3rd car at the moment.

Might be putting my 2013 LC200 up for sale soon. Bought it for the wife and she wanted to go back to a Tahoe. I’d love to keep it fit myself but can’t afford both :/

Would be hoping to get my money back out of it. I’ve got just over $40k in it.

White on Tan, ~110k miles, zero rust, zero accidents, bone stock except tint, just did new OEM radiator and valley plate reseal, all fluids recently changed.

I'm in a buy/sell group that occasionally roasts sellers for their pricing. This group just went NUTS over a 2020 Heritage Edition being listed by the owner for $95k saying the seller was dreaming and how he was still thinking the market was in "covid pricing" mode and he'd never get it blah blah blah.... then the seller responded the next day saying he'd had multiple parties hit him up and it had just sold for $5k over ask, so $100k even.

They got real quiet after that lol
Progressive paid me $81,100 for my totaled 2020 Heritage Edition with 75,000 miles. They gave me $327 for all the mods. So F’ing sad.

Yeah fair point, however I just bought this a few months ago and based on my local market and research feel like I paid a fair price given its condition and service history.
this is just napkin math but i've been tracking these for a few months now.
good rule of thumb is to look at the carfax private sale value and add 20% to it. i've seen LCs listed from 8-28% of that price...
your car's private value is 29000. add in the enthusiast land cruiser market pricing of +20% and you get 36. that's just my 1.5 cents.

here are some recent listings:
Year Miles Price Carfax Prvte Value % diff
2017 142,000 $48,500 $41,300 16%
2013 81,000 $42,500 $32,100 28%
2014 99,500 $40,000 $31,620 23%
2013 179,150 $27,500 $25,350 8%
2015 137,250 $37,900 $30,430 22%
2014 110,557 $36,500 $30,140 19%
2014 148,000 $30,250 $27,750 9%

That's not how car buying works :)
ya i wish i could get back what i put into all my cars over the years.
i mean even for a house, you can drop 100K into a kitchen remodel and that doesn't add 100k to your house value..
heck even repairs, redoing your roof doesn't add 20K to your house..

That white 2016 LX that was for sale on here sold damn near instantly.

Supercharged, and under 66k miles for less than 52k is an absolute steal. Whoever got it fair play.
Good seller too.
I talked to him.
I was pretty close to getting it but had to listen to the voice of reason: I do not NEED supercharging for off roading haha

honestly, that rig makes pretty much every other LX(16+) look like a really bad deal lol.

It was a smoking deal
I priced the truck without supercharger at 43-45.
9-7k more for a well maintained, clean, good color combo, supercharger.
Good deal.

Not sure what the other dude was on about 65k.

some people are weird like that.

I was thinking the cost of the supercharger alone made it worth it.

Super low mileage and it was practically bone stock to boot. OEM+ is the way for my next rig and that one checked all the boxes.

I have been reading up on supercharging ever since my 2011 purchase debacle.
And I agree, even if I got a non SC one, I am gonna add one myself.
The only pause I had was the towing miles plus SC.
He told me he was towing 6-8k lbs trailers for racing weekends.

Yeah, the truck is def been used but thats somewhat within the manufacture ratings and i know folks who tow much more than that on their 200s with no issues so thats not terrible.

I like a tan interior though.

That aside, what is your value for this truck not supercharged?
Clean, no rust, original paint, clean Carfax, plus the bbs wheels, $52k retail. Bat usually gets more than retail for good stuff like the one in Oregon. Having bought a 2018 with 37k miles a few months ago for $55,500. I got a fantastic deal in the color combo and options I wanted, but the car was 400 miles away, took a trip to door dings city (20 dents), dry rotted/flat spotted tires and the interior was covered in lotion from the previous lady owner. PDR, leatherique and a good polish/ceramic coating brought it back to 100% and I was very happy the dealership that sold it didn’t do any bs on the lot cosmetic repairs. Some time and money definitely went into it after it was purchased- some hair on the deal should always be expected when buying a used car.

52K retail....
Are we paying private sellers retail money now though?

Again, I am not saying 52 wasn't a fantastic deal for that car but my valuation estimate is based it on being a private seller, plus no one pays 100% value for someone's mods.
But I am not some end all appraiser over here. It's just what I would want to pay.

I was mostly referring to wholesale (what a dealer would pay) vs retail, but yes. I would very much say that. As a private party individual, you should not make a concession on your vehicle just because you are a private party seller- especially on a 200 series where most buyers willing to fork out the dough would probably rather have an enthusiast owner selling them their car vs a dealership anyways (the one in Oregon). Also, buying a car from a dealership seriously sucks 9 times out of 10

You seem to imply this with your previous reply. Why are you saying that the truck was worth $43k when you’re not saying that 52 wasn’t a fantastic deal? If that car is worth $43k and you pay $52k, that’s a bad deal lol

Plus no one pays 100% value for someone's mods.
It really depends on how you want to look at it. Someone would totally pay the $65k for that truck on BAT like I had mentioned in that guys sale thread. Could it go for lower? Sure, but not by much. If it has all the boxes checked and it is documented in the auction, do you really find it that hard to believe? Sub 70k mile 100’s are selling in the 50’s-70’s on there right now. And having sold quite a few cars on there my self, it always ends up being worth it (higher than retail price result)
But I am not some end all appraiser over here. It's just what I would want to pay.
This much is clear. This thread is for sales data, not how much you think something is worth. There’s plenty of nice ones out there with tan interiors for cheaper. How about you go buy one and tell us what you paid for it? But please actually go buy one this time. Don’t commit to buying another one and then get cold feet and make up a lame excuse to back out of the deal. It’s called kicking tires and it sucks for the seller
