Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Just purchased this 17 w/ 70k for $50k in Colorado. Being delivered next week.

Missed/wanted a built 19 w/ 75k miles (Slee Sliders, Full Dissent Front Bumper w/ winch) for $54k by hours and stock 18 w/ 75k for $55k in California. Prices on the LXs have gone up a bit and the past 3 week w/ not much quality (accident/rust) inventory out there.

Congrats on the great buy. The price makes me a bit jealous as someone shopping for an LC. (Badge isn't the issue, I just like the exterior and interior of a LC more)
I also noticed the price going up a bit for the LC over the past few months. Maybe the supply is lessening. I suspect the price drop will be more significant in 1 year or 2 when people start to buy the LX700h.

I like the optimism, but a couple dozen 700h sales aren't moving the needle.
The same thing was said about the 250 release and here we are.
Cheers.

Yes but majority of 200 owners was never going to buy the 250 to begin with. Even the "non enthusiast, luxury buying first owners" who can afford $90k new vehicles weren't jumping ship.

I've been to a few Lexus dealerships to look at their used 200/570 this past 4 months, and they were all traded in for the GX550.

Considering the LX600 sold almost 7k units last year. And now that the LX700h attracts even the enthusiast. I think it's fair to assume the LX700h will sell for more than "a couple dozen" in the coming years. More power, more luxury, triple locked from factory. Assuming the Dissent armor for the LX600 works on the LX700h, I'm sure the wealthy players on mud would jump over sooner than ever. Anyone who can afford a HE 200 can easily trade in for the LX700h without adding much money.

If anything, the 250 release INCREASED the used 200 prices.
Yea, I think mid 2024 had a little window where 200 prices dipped a little faster because of the 250. But by end of 2024 it went back to "normal" depreciation. And from what I've seen the price for 200 has been slightly increasing comparing to back in November 2024 when I was shopping.

There was a dealer owned 200series, absolutely mint, 55k miles, selling for $61k and it sat on the lot for 3 weeks. I will always regret not buying that because you can't find that price now. The funny story about that was the dealer's owner's daughter who traded the LC200 in for the LC250 because she wanted carplay, drove the LC250 for a month then realized it was a smaller and lesser car, then traded for a Sequoia TRD Pro hahaha.

I wish... Would have to spring at least $40k for the trade with this insane $100k plus prices.
If I could get an LX700h for my HE I would do it in a heartbeat

In a one for one trade absolutely. Unfortunately the trade/wholesale value of the 200 is not as strong as the retail side of things. A clean ‘21 HE with < 20k miles is only going to bring around $75-$80k which is great if you paid sticker for one 4 years ago. Not so much if you paid six figs for one recently.

OH yeah. Anybody that bought during that Covid/post-Covid craze in which people were asking (and getting) 6 figures for the HEs is married forever now, unless they kept in a barn and never driven. Which is not necessarily a bad thing talking about a 200HE, but they could have waited a bit and paid $80k (low mile pre-owned) like I did.

yeah, but if you adjust for inflation, $94,000 in 2021 equates to $110,200.66 in 2025. Which is only $5k off the LX700h OT. Crazy world we live in.

My original comment meant people who could afford a $94k car in 2021, could probably swing $115k in 2025 like it's nothing.
But that's about 17 tax brackets above me, so what do I know. I do not make anywhere near that kind of money to afford $94k in 2021, definitely not $115k in 2025. I know I'm not the target audience :/

I'm sure people at RMR, and a few collectors here and there have sub 5k miles HEs or MY20/21s. And they can afford to let their 200 sit and sell it again for 6 figures in the future on BAT.

$80k low mile pre-owned is great. There was a '21 HE in TN last November that sold for $70k. I believe it was 80k miles. I remember thinking that was a good deal compared to the market at the time.

Same here man. It stinks those vehicles are only pipe dreams for me, 15-20 years down the line. My achievable goal is to own a 200/570 some time.

Long term, I’d love to own an HE. A neighbor of mine drives one and I drool every time I see it.

I'm on a long flight to Barcelona, haven't slept and just read this entire thread. Glad it exists and I hope it helps people find/evaluate prices out there. That said, it pushed my thinking in a different direction. Over the next few weeks I'm going to get my 200 gussied up, take it down to Glamour Shots for some soft-focus, real estate agent headshot worthy ambrotypes and hope they don't steal its soul. Then, I'm going to list it on here and only on here. I'm not trying to sell it. I'm going to make it available to purchase to the people who know the rig from my posts or the events we've attended together, who understand the build philosophy and understand what's great about iterating and evolving and not simply getting the accessory canon treatment from an outfitter, who appreciates its been proven on some of the most well known terrain of Utah, Colorado and Arizona and might have seen for themselves that while it has been properly used, it has never, ever been abused. I'll have to put a price on it when I list it and that price will probably be $50k, which will obviously take it without question loaded up with fridge, awning, the never used maxtrax, electrical system and every part I've taken off as well as all the spares and random stuff I've collected over the years... To be clear, I have no expectation that is how it will go down, though. At some point many months (or years?) from now one of you will ping me and say "hey, I'd really like to make that beast the center of my family's adventures for the next 10 years before the kids go off to college. Let's work something out." and we probably will. In the mean time I'll keep making it better, keep maintaining it like its taking me to space and keep enjoying what it has become. When the time comes, I'll be happy about who it sells to. They will be happy about who they bought it from. Neither of us will be bragging to our friends about the financial deal we made, but we will very likely disclose the financial elements of the arrangement here, because this is valuable. Thats the way I'm choosing to participate in this market to the extent that I am. Maybe it will inspire a few other like-minded sellers to put more consideration into it than 'good deal or bad deal'. I'd like that. So keep an eye out for my listing and DM me if you think we'll be able to work something out. I'll see the rest of you in the listing replies... if I don't see you on the trail first... and consider the market price for a 2013 with 129k on the clock now set at $50k (or some combination of money and being the right person.)

Curious if those of you who have recently picked up 2016+ LX's cross shopped w/ GX550?
I did. Ultimately I decided the build quality and longterm capability of the LX are significantly superior. In addition, while the GX has the trendy look, I think the LX has the more timeless design. Also, I figure there will be a GX at every stoplight by next year, whereas the LX is a somewhat rare bird with an IYKYK quality. Finally, you can get into a good condition LX for considerably less than a new GX, especially with dealer markups.

Oh and the V8 is a better engine.

This, this and this. I am already seeing GX 550s (and LC Prados) galore at every school pick up and Starbucks line nearby. LX I see maybe one every other day. (Real ) LCs are even more rare. The build and V8 are just the cherries.

Real LC flex. It’s true. But OP can get more bang for his buck with an LX at this point.
