2013 with no record of coolant flush - would you buy? Given the issue with head gasket failure would you buy an otherwise nice well minted cruiser that has done 10+ years and 125k + miles without a coolant flush?

Of course radiator has not been replaced but likely has hairline crack which could have been in place for many months.

Ended up going for 65570$. Looks like the bidding winner wanted it bad, upped the price 5k in one go at one point. That's even more than I thought it would go for.

Such a silly price. Someone will be happy but that is so niche.

I'd be okay with it in certain circumstances. Having the original radiator is a plus in this scenario as you know it never blew up on the highway with the owner driving it to the point of overheating. If the price is fair, go for it. Just be sure to do a radiator and coolant replacement ASAP.

Coolant is in service well past Toyota's factory service interval - which is already way too long of an interval and can lead to -big- problems down the road.

Anyways, if the PO couldn't get something as basic as a change coolant done on time, what other maintenance and repairs have also been ignored or neglected?

Even at 12 years old these rigs are expensive used, and come with no warranty.

It's not just 2013. I think the updated radiator started showing up in 15-16. The old "square top" are prone to 70k-100k failure. Not the end of the world as long as you catch it before it fails.

The majority of 200's are affected. The radiator was (finally) updated after 10 years of 200 series production for the late 2018 model year

That's all true, but I'd guess that a majority of cars with 125k miles are still on the original coolant.

Other than zero coolant changes, what other maintenance has been documented? How does the vehicle ride, look, and smell? Any accidents? Any corrosion? What's the price? All of these factor into my "in certain circumstances" comment.

I'm not a 200 expert like many on this board, I'm trying to get one myself.
Had one years ago, I regret selling it now.

My amateur opinion - try to figure out if it was taken care of.

Not easy to do, but could try to pin down if any toyota or lexus dealers serviced it -
for my money the coolant change is the one that gets missed that will cost you.

I found a really nice '14 LX in Kansas city
Clean frame, north carolina truck, tons of documented dealer servicing.
Prior owner felt need to dump Lucas oil stabilizer and ATF fluid into each oil change -
Lexus dealer documented it each time.

I passed on it as result, but was nice truck.
2014 with 155k, they were asking $29,000

Curious if you bought the LX as carmax isn't showing price on it now

I passed on this vehicle, I would recommend it though if someone is still interested, I am sure it will pop up on Carmax again tomorrow. Overall, it was quite clean, although I took it for a test drive and it had a little pull so they did an alignment on it. I went back and drove it again today and it was better, I still thought it may have had a little pull but it was happening on both sides of the highway so could just need some tire adjustments.

I want to make the LC/LX work but really need something like a Sequoia or Armada as much as it pains me to come to this conclusion! Good luck if anyone on here goes for this one!

Yeah if you want space, the Sienna is really the only viable option (Sequoia better than LC though too). Thanks for intel and sharing feedback on this one!

A bit on the high side but still in the ballpark. Since there’s little to no difference between a 2013 and a 2015 LX, you can save some cash by going with the 2013.
