Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Google street view shows this dealership (superiorautogroup). I am not comfortable spending 67K but really tempted to have a look, unfortunately, I have about 8 hour drive each way. This is the downside of living in West TX: everything is at least 3-4 hours away!

A Mexican Jew living in Tulsa, Oklahoma?

Too good to be true?

I just requested a carfax and some better photos along with asking if that price is legit or a typo.
I have seen a few crazy prices get posted on Websites, they are almost always one of 2 things.

On very rare occasions, a lease buyout that goes through the dealer inventory system and is sold back to the lease customer at their payoff, which is how they typically should work, but it gets posted to their website accidentally.

Or most times a scam. I always Wonder if people would be more likely to fall for the scams if it was a good price instead of a great price?

If the truck was really as described and come anywhere close to passing the “Mud” condition test why would anyone sell it for $12k -$15k less than what CarMax or a dealer would pay?

I think everyone is still chasing the $1000 65’ Chevy that turns out to be a Corvette urban myth and the scammers prey on the folks that are willing to send a deposit or worse!

I’ve not heard back since letting them know I live about 4 hours away and would be coming to check it out in person if we came to terms lol.

Doubt you will! It is always entertaining to listen to their excuses when you tell them that you want to see it in person!

Good luck with your search, the right one will find you!

If the seller takes $60K cash, I might be heading to OK. This is just 5K more than I am ready to spend on an Armada. I still want a Toyota!!!
I think it's too early to call it a scam. It may have a salvage title which dealer hides: can't think of rust as it's quite new. Feds are trying to bump the interest for car loans! There will be good deals coming in soon.

It's a scam. They had something similar posted a few months ago, I inquired, and heard nothing.

If it it is not a scam and doesn’t have a salvage title, despite being advertised as Clean CarFax, they can get far more than $60k and won’t even have to throw in a fake Rhino to make the deal!

With a salvage title, who Knows what the value is, but -25% is probably a good starting point! I would guess 21’ HE retail prices are around $90k and $67,500 is 75% of that value.

With the exception of the past couple years, cars do typically depreciate and I do think values will eventually normalize despite what has been the case in Q1 23’. However, I don’t think any of us want to see an economic crash that would change the value 25% in a short period of time and neither do the feds! Plus if Land Cruiser values DO fall that much, how much will that $53k Armada be worth?

My very Land Cruiser biased opinion, if you want a Toyota, buy the best 200 series you can find in the range you want to spend, it will be cheaper than trading an Armada for one next year!!!

I really feel like looking into the 2020 heritage: Wish we have a mudder near Tulsa to go check it out. I haven't bought a car from such a long distance. After physically inspecting a car, what legal document should one get after putting down a deposit?

I would be amazingly cautious! It would be great to hear about any dialogue that can be established!

Opinion, it is too good to be true. Either salvage or a scam, or it is the latter there probably isn’t documentation that will feasibly recover the deposit.

Best of luck, keep us posted!

It sounds like the dealer isn't much for talking so I suspect would have problems with signing a contract of your making for a deposit. That said, you could probably hire an attorney and send something via DocuSign. You could probably find a car buying escrow service to protect your deposit in case the vehicle isn't what he says it is or fairs to materialize.

It's not real.

You can find where that website has ripped the images from legit dealers.

Here is the McLaren Superior claims to have sold:

And here is the Camaro from the same dealer in OK. Again the fictitious dealer is claiming this one too:

The Land Cruiser is so generic that I can't find it at the moment. They also show an X5 M in a building that is clearly not on the property and looks like a dealership not consistent with Street View, etc. There's a reason they're not posting the VIN of any of these vehicles.

100% is not real. As recently as yesterday, the dealer had pages on both Cars.com and Autotrader. This listings did have the VIN, and also the Carfax. Every one of the Carfaxes showed the most recent maintenance history being nowhere near Tulsa. The listing for the Land Cruiser showed that it was a Florida car. Today, the Cars and Autotrader pages for the dealer are gone.

Them taking a deposit from you is part of their scam LOL, don’t pay anything to them…like so many others have said, THIS IS A SCAMM!

Here is a good sign and one I am actually going to inquire about - First 2013 revamp I have seen under $30K. I prefer literally anything other than black, and stock wheels, but at the price worth an initial look.

2013 LC, 160K, $29,998 (no idea on dealer fees), VIN JTMHY7AJ1D4012863

If any of you DFW peeps get to it before me, let me know!

This is a good price if it checks out. Used stock wheels are relatively inexpensive. Make sure they have the key to those locking lugnuts though!
