Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Likely no inflation/increase but expect prices to be consistent for the next 12 months at least. Even if we see a massive market downturn / layoffs hard to know if people will sell off these for cheaper cars since there are not even cheaper cars to buy.

Watch for fuel prices. If we get back to 5 dollar gas, people will be lining up for hybrids and electric.

Commute is way down in many industries that allow for work from home. These folks' now drive less - theoretically it may push up sales for non-hybrids (assuming no chip shortages) as they may look for things other than fuel efficiency when buying a car.

What would this have gone for a few years back?
I bought in July, so I bought in this market too, but NADA still hadn’t caught up when I was looking, KBB was getting close. Check NADA

I’m looking at a 14 with 110k. Is 40,800 a fair price to pay?
I think for a 14 you’re right in the ball park, especially if the history is good. The best I was finding in that model year range was 13’s w right at 100k for 39/40 grand, but they were 500 miles away and more owners. I ended up w an 08 w 66k miles for 37,5 out the door. Local, two owners. paid for low mileage, local, and good maintenance history.

That’s good to know! My biggest fear right note is buying into a hyper inflated market

I bought a 15 lx570 18 months ago. Had 53k miles. I paid $43k. Frankly, these trucks have gone up in value because they are capable, reliable, and the supply is low. They ain’t making em for NA anymore.

Concur.
The global shift to hybrid/electric and government disincentives for heavy/thirsty SUVs will probably result in more used LCs for sale over the next few years.

Maybe, but California has many pockets of $5 already over the last year and LC prices remain high

FWIW - I have alerts setup on most of the major car sites and I've been seeing 08-15 used LX inventory sit longer on the lot, plus I've been getting many more "price reduced" emails. I feel like the market is softening.
I’ve started noticing the same. Sitting longer, and a reduced price here and there.

Very apt username for the first like.
