Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Anyone familiar with this LC or the dealer?

Looks clean from here but I am concerned about rust since it spent all its life in the NE. Salesperson said it "looks pretty much rust free." I'm in CA so would probably end up buying out of state to save some money. I only want a white/white and it's been difficult getting a clean one.

2021 LC 200 Base, MGM, Black interior. Toyota Certified Used with 5 miles on the clock (vehicle went "in-service" 5 months ago). "Now or never". $89,900.
Congrats! Is that the out the door price? Or price before taxes, fees, etc?

Also which dealer if you don’t mind sharing? I looked at a MGM in NJ a little while ago but looks like it was sold.

Hi guys,

I just signed up. I have been reading threads on this forum for days and wanted to thank everyone for sharing their knowledge. I have learned a ton just over the last few days.

Would you guys mind sharing your opinion on this 2008 LX 570, I am considering. It seems like a great deal but wanted to get your opinion as I have only been in the market for 2 weeks.

Want to make sure this isn’t one of those cars everyone knows about and isn’t buying for a reason.

The sellers bottom line is 23k. It would cost me 2k to transport to California and another 2k in taxes and fees. So 27k out the door.

$23k is a good deal in today's market even with shipping and taxes. My opinion though is get something you can kick the wheels in person and hasn't spent its life in far north North California where they get snow and salt. For $30/31k out the door I bet you could get a 2010+ potentially w/ lower miles

Would hard pass on that at 27k, realistically. Have you seen the Lexus Driver report? Looks like this car is falling apart on them and that’s why they are selling. Within 2021…

- CUSTOMER STATES SHARK FIN CAME OFF
- AIR CONDITIONING BLOWING WARM
- DIFF LOCK LIGHT AT TIMES COMES ON AND BLINKS
- TRANSFER CASE FLASHING DIFF LOCK LIGHT AT TIMES
- THE "2ND START"/"POWER" BUTTON ON THE CONSOLE HAS PUSHED THROUGH
- THE CRUISE BUTTON HAS BECOME INTERMITTENT
- INTERMITTENT WIPERS INOP. ADV.

On the bright side it seems to be completely Lexus/Toyota maintained and the radiator was replaced already. But to the previous poster’s point, at 30k OTD you can get a 2010 with less miles. At 28k OTD I got a 2010 with 124k and no major issues.

Thank you. I will take the advice and pass on this one.

I would love to gauge the below that I will check out in-person tomorrow. I realize that the market demands what a buyer is willing to pay for something but the objective question I am hoping to answer: is this a fair priced 200 series, too high/ low?

year/make/model: 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser
Mileage: 140,xxx
Color: Amazon Green ext. / Black int.
Location: California all it’s life
Condition: good
Other details: 1 owner since new. All completed maintenance on-time. No accidents, clean carfax
Asking price: $37,000

Thanks in advance

I’d call that a decent deal. Obviously prices vary by region, but a one-owner LC in a unique color is easily worth $37k in WA on the private market. If the maintenance looks good and the car is in good shape I’d do that deal.

2011-2013 LCs have been selling for around $45-48k out here at dealers and they aren’t even one owners.

Update: saw it today. It was gorgeous. She had an 80, 100 series, this, and now a ‘21 HE, thus selling this one. She kept all records and she never even put it in 4hi or lo or open the sunroof!! Agreed on $35k. Very happy!!

That’s a stellar price. Amazon green is stunning in person!

I've been in the market for a sub 100k mile 200 series. I have an 80 series that I daily that I want to turn into more or a restoration project. This 09 with 75k is goes for $40k I know the price is high but just curious if you guys would recommend it keep searching? It's one owner and has a full service record.

Hi All,

Just joined and first time posting. Thank you all for sharing your experience, knowledge, and recommendations via this forum! Very much appreciated.

I would appreciate your thoughts and input on this. About a 45 min drive from me. Would really like a 2013 LX but ask price for this 08 is tempting.

VIN: JTJHY00W184014197
2008 LX 570
193k mi
$23.5k ask
2 owners (2nd owner bought from their family member)
Lexus Drivers info shows it has been maintained/serviced religiously every 5k mi up to ~146k, then the Lexus Drivers maintenance records become more sparse.

Is it worth pursuing further for this price? In no rush, but have been monitoring local LXs for a while now.

Thanks!

Price is okay for TN. Cross check with all the services against the book to see if they declined anything - for example, people who do not go off road often decline all the 4WD fluids like front/rear diff and transfer case. Do not assume "120K service" in Lexus Driver includes everything. Some dealerships will give you this info anonymously if you just give them the VIN - if you know the dealership they want to (it will be on the CarFax if you pull it). If they skipped the Lexus services for 50k, certainly they skipped many of these. Then there's stuff that isn't on the schedule - like power steering, AHC fluids, transmission flush/drain, etc. Tire condition? Brake condition? Anything broken? Condition of the leather? It's likely going to be like $2-3k in just fluids to baseline the car before brakes and tires. I'd ask for $20.5k if so.

Thanks ufdlim for the questions and suggestions! Lexus Driver records do not show any services declined, but it's not entirely clear what all jobs were actually performed vs not. The seller shared with me where the maintenance was performed (local Lexus and Toyota dealership) so I plan to call to ask for more details, which they will hopefully share. Seller says tires and brakes are "new" w/ only 1000 miles, nothing on vehicle is broken, everything functional, the undercarriage coating is solid w/ nothing wrong (rust) w/ frame. If I find the AHC fluids, power steering, etc. have not been performed, sounds like good suggestion to offer a few $k less. Thanks again!

Meh, it's not like some fluids not being changed will make the car explode suddenly. If everything functions correctly and it's smooth with no vibrations I wouldn't be worried. Negotiate a little and then drain & fill on whatever fluid you're gonna baseline.
