More Cup Holders?

Looks like bumping this thread and letting the 40 series community know I am still making these cup holders was a success. I was getting an email at least once a day asking when I would start making cup holders for the 40 series even though I have been making them and continue to make them. For this last week, I only had one email asking that. Sounds like the new folks now know that I make them. One less email I have to deal with every day. Win!! Thanks.

Few questions, does the 81-84 center console ashtray match the original pretty close? One of mine I bought a OEM ashtray for years ago. Wouldn't mind having one for the other console. The tailgate 4X4 emblems are 3D aluminum? Do you have site showing all cup holder options for the 73-78 and 81-84 consoles. Figure would be easier than trying search nine pages here. Only seen the tailgate emblems because showed up on Esty. Buy thru Esty?

Our ashtray is an exact match to the OEM exterior dimensions and look. Will fit exactly how the OEM ashtray fit. The difference is interior changes that needed to happen to fix the original design flaws Toyota had. The original design was prone to cracking in numerous places. We addressed those issues. Just realized I missed one of your questions about the aluminum. Our badges are solid aluminum and not plastic. We use to 3D print them out of plastic but decided to go with metal a few years ago. We now CNC our badges from solid metal. Sorry for missing that question the first time I responded. Also in regards to ordering; Etsy works or our website. Etsy charges seller fees so our prices have to be a bit higher there to offset that. Our website can offer a bit more competitive pricing on most of our products because we aren't going to charge ourselves fees.

Being Black Friday I'm getting flooded with emails asking if we are running "Black Friday Specials". Any chance of designing a cup holder for the early 40's? I have a '67 and no console (oem seats). Something that secures to the glovebox door or fits in the slot for the ashtray would be nice. I don't want to butcher my dash any more than it is.

It's Black Friday again and I forgot to post info on this forum ahead of time, AGAIN!! One of these years I will be better at communicating to the mud community. Got into the shop this morning to a pile of emails asking about Black Friday deals. This year is a bit unique for us. For the first time in over a dozen years we were able to lower our prices across all products in the 5%-12% range. We have finally got to a point in size where we can buy in large bulk our raw materials we use for manufacturing which allowed us this year to lower prices a bit. Got the same question over and over this weekend so I thought I would address it here. I was asked if our updated prices, promos, and coupons are only for the Black Friday weekend. The simple answer is No. We will be running all of our holiday promos, coupons, and updated reduced pricing through 12/20 of this year. So the discounts are good for another 2.5 weeks.

I want to give an update to the 40 Series Community. Over the years we have grown from 3 products to over 90 that we make and keep in stock in our 2 shops. The cost to manage and store inventory on 90 products has become counter productive in our efforts to keep our prices competitive. We have decided to go in a new direction by reducing inventory by almost 60%. To achieve this goal we will only keep in stock and ready to ship our top sellers which actually makes up 96% of our annual sales. For most of you, there will be no change in any aspect of how we process/ship orders and our pricing. The 4% of our annual sales that are not "Top Sellers" make up almost 60% of our inventory. I know... that was not a great business model BUT we are getting it fixed. We will still continue to make all of our products but the 4% of sales from the less popular designs will be printed to order which will delay shipping about 3 days. By reducing this huge amount of inventory we can stay in our current shops, have space for future growth, lower our labor costs, and maintain our current pricing. Since this is such a small percent of our company revenue we also decided to go down a new path. We will be releasing our less popular designs over the next 12 months as digital files that can be downloaded and printed from home for folks who own or have access to a 3D printer and don't want to wait the extra 3 days in shipping time. As time goes by and older products start to slow in sales, we will continue to release them as digital files to open space for new products. The 40 Series community has been very good to us over the years so we are starting this new endeavor with you guys. Next month will be the 3rd Gen 4Runner crowd. We have launched 4 digital files so far over on our Etsy page and will continue to add to that list over the years. All of the staff here at BH3D has one HUGE request for folks who buy our digital files. PLEASE protect them. Use them for your personal use freely but do not share our files with others. If our digital files have decent sells then we have an incentive to continue to create new products for the 40 series community and continue to release our digital designs. We need the community to help protect us so in tern we can continue to develop the parts you guys want. We also plan to release some upcoming brand new products straight to digital download IF we see some success with the sales of our digital files. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to get all the info out at once. Here is a link below to our Etsy 40 Series store. The digital files are listed right there on the main page. Remember, these are our less popular older designs so if you are wanting a digital file that is not listed then you will need to be patient. It may be some time before we release the exact file you want. Once sales drop below a pre-determined threshold then we will release the file.
