Got my mats in this week, put them in the BJ60 and they're excellent. Just wish they were on top of carpet of equal quality, instead of ratty old faded carpet. Guess I know what's next…

Here is the cheapest (material and shipping combined) I've found. They sell single and double sided foil. Under the carpet I just laid it in, no glue, etc.
I never noticed any shifting of the carpet. I'd say a spray adhesive like a 3M would be your best bet and "easier" to clean up if you ever need to remove the flooring.

Thermozite Insulator Padding - Sound & Heat Solution

This adhesive is what I use for my door panels and heavier duty applications.

My '86 FJ60 project is coming along to the point where I'll soon be removing the seats and old carpet and cleaning out the interior, so it's time to order some Thermozite. Do you recall how many yards were required for Poppy?

I ordered 4.5 yds and the previous upholstery shop installed it. So not sure how much was left over.
