You can pull me off the list. Just got the dates for my "other" trip. Can't make this one.
That looks epic! Can't waitHate that you have to miss this TonyP. Was looking forward to meeting you after seeing the Moab pics from last year.
Here are some teasers from HITR...

OK, @steenh, awesome pics but a couple of them (3, 4, 5 and 8) look somewhat intimidating. At least for me. 2 makes it look like the trail isn't wide enough. The other pics suggest bumper damage. Should we presume bumper damage? (Not sure I can go yet as our Summer plans are fluid but if the schedule works out I am interested. I just don't want to get in over my head.)
First 200 crew through HITR! Let's do this!!I'm not going to say its not a challenging trail, but I'll also say that any of you can make it. The first year I went there was a 100 series with us that had no real issues. There are two spots that will stress us. Ledges. One of those is tougher than the other. Those are also the two spots that could result in dragging your bumper. Nothing is tougher than just playing on the rocks in Moab really, but there is certainly a chance of scraping bumpers.
The spot @Dan Higgins mentioned is a slim part of the trail, but really its just a good pic. No worries, there's room even for a 200. Maybe @smittycrusher can post up a pic of the van/trailer that we saw on the trail and know made it through. He can also chime in on his thoughts.
In the video, if you watched mine, there are a couple of spots that look very challenging, but they are completely avoidable... Here are the pics of the two spots that are the roughest.
This spot (pic 3 in the previous post) is where you may scrape and if anyone needs a tug going up, this is a spot that's possible.

This spot is the toughest on the trail by far. It's not as hard as it looks in this picture, but it's hard. Easy coming down but very steep and you may pucker up a bit, and a chance of scraping the front bumper. Going up, it's steep, rocky and tough. We just need one of us to make it, and I have no doubt that we will... we all could make it... then an easy tug for whoever can't quite get up. Anyone with Lockers... no problem at all. I am going to give crawl a chance before I use the lockers just to see if it will do it. I don't think a 200 has been on this trail yet.

Other than these two spots, no one will have any issues. the pics 4, 5, 8 are not difficult... just great pics making it look harder than it is.
All that said, I have no interest in anyone going where they aren't comfortable, and this isn't what I'd call a dirt road kind of drive. It's 35miles each way with a lot of "challenging" spots, but again, other than the two mentioned, nothing any of us can't do, and other than perhaps some bumper scraping, no real danger of tipping or banging body panels.
I would rank HiTR as a fairly technical trail. Some scraping and bumping would be expected. Very doable, especially with a good group of folks and good spotters.
Doesn't look all that much harder than Hells.
Ya, nothing like a good spotter (and nothing worse than a bad one, as I learned last year from a stranger!)
first thing I thought of was Mark sliding down into the "V" of hells revenge.
still amazed no sheet metal was damaged on that trail.
