Looking sharp...
Looks like you have teeth on the front grille.
Congrats on getting the wiring harness done too. What a major accomplishment.

Are you going to do the relay setup that is on the tech link for the headlights?
I was thinking of going to a junkyard and looking for a relay bank under the hood of a car to pull out and use. I know my wifes honda has such a relay bank in a nice weatherproof -- or at least visably conceiled thing.

honestly I haven't thought that far ahead. It has come together pretty quick the last couple weeks and there are a few things I have yet to think through before completing, lights being one of them.
if you both are putting in a new wiring harness you wont have to do the headlight harness upgrade. not unless you ran really small wires to the lights from the switch. when i put the new wiring harness in my 40 the wires for the headlights were much larger than the stock that i ripped out.
hope everyone has a good trip out to moab. I wish me and the mrs were going again.
I was just panicked for a bit.
I'm, ready! Or so I thought....
Check engine light came on, scanner can't read data. I thought it was due to me changing to 180 degree thermostat, so just change it back to 195 degrees, right? Oh no! the hood release cable has come undone, and can't get the hood open. Takes a bit, but finally get it open. Fix that issue. Change Thermostat. CEL still on. Did the jumper trick. Code 13. Have to replace Oxygen sensor. Can't budge it. Took it in to have new bung welded in.
Inline fuel pump starts emitting high pitched squel. Buy new (expensive) pump, but now the squel stopped, so not sure what the deal is there. I will hold on to the pump in case it needs replacing. Will change filters just to be sure they are not causing restriction.
Find a plug wire loose. Somehow got dislodged from the connector. Get new wires, heck might as well do plugs. Did all that, and did not break anything else.
I'm almost ready..... yes, I know, I am whining.I was just panicked for a bit.
glad you got it figured out!
think some of your bad luck has rubbed off on me. The oil filter bracket on the 40 is cracked where my oil pressure sender screws in. which explains why I could not get to stop leaking.![]()
