Moab 2011 Planning Thread

I don't want to hijack your trip but would ya'll mind if a messican tagged along?
Been wanting to do this trip for the longest. For me it would depend if I got all the friggin work done to my truck before that long of a road trip. H55F, 2F rebuild and a lot of interior odds and ends. If I'm not dead broke after all that I'd love to travel with ya'll.

Personally I don't travel in caravans. Inevitably one jackass will come unprepared and screw up my entire wheeling weekend while we wait at Wal Mart for trailer tires.
Also, if I am that jackass....which I have been many times, I don't want to hold up everyone else. Of course, this makes me an ass on top of a jackass but I can live with that
For me, I usually drive all the way to New Mexico on the way out. Usually Tucumcari that way I can have Blake's Lottaburger for dinner and then again for breakfast
From there, Albuquerque, Farmington, Cortez, Moab. Easy day 2 hard day 1.
I usually tow at 75-80 and have to stop every 200 miles or so because the Duramax has a tiny tank and I have a tiny bladder.
The way to do this is let those that want to caravan caravan, those that want to hotel hotel and those that want to expedition expedition. A trip like this is fun because all the trails are relatively close to town...some are in town. You can go out...come back, grab those that stayed up too late and go again.....

We are in! just tell me when and we are there. It would be hard for us to make K2 and Razorback with a Moab trip in there as well.

10-4 I'm glad the position is already filled, I won't even bother to compete for the job. Not getting the job has actually saved me ten's of dollars on leisure suits.

1450 miles. 22 hours 30 minutes from Brandon, MS! Hell, I'm in! I wish we could find a way to haul the 40's on one trailer. Any ideas?
Yep - invite Roger T. ( I am going to anyway
) He knows the Moab trails fairly well and he can haul 4 FJ40's on the STLCA trailer - ask me how I know...

I am in...of course unless my dogs run me over and break both of my femurs again. Mike and I are really wanting to get out there and do some exploring...by the way...had an awesome time this past weekend!
