What is the departure route from Alan's? If we go up 276

BTW, I am game for running north over the mountain to get to 64 from the upstate as opposed to the 76 way through blairsville, which I think is boring.....
Wow!. I just looked at the map and it's not pretty going to Tellico from Alans. I took Hwy 64 once that is a really curvey road. I like the 76 route but from Alans house it looks like it would be a pain. I think we need Alan to chime in.

276 would be a bear. 178 is not so bad, but it is still steep/curvey. There are some steep parts of 64 but I have made it several times towing my 40 on a trailer. In fact, this past GSMTR we took 178 to 64, 4 of us towing our 40's on trailers. We even took our trailered 40's over trail 1.
I will go either way. I believe trail 1 is not the way based on the cabin location, and that will be good thing.

FWIW, I took 64 home from MLK last year (Murphy to Rosman) for it's scenic value. It is a great drive scenery wise but you're right it is curvy and it is incredibly S-L-O-W!!!
I took 76 home from the FJC Trail Team trip in August last year and while it wasn't as scenic, it was much quicker.

I can't believe they don't have it down your way. It went from being a beer I could only get in the bars where my folks live to being in every bar I go to seemingly overnight.
Do you think you might be able to pick up a case for me too? Dan and I not only share genetics, but also a taste for beer unavailable in the great state of Georgia.
So whats the best way to go? I am still working on the cruiser and hope to have it closer after tonight. (Thank goodness that rain finally stopped!)
