This does not mean we will won't have a MLK weekend it just means we have to find another place and quick.

Got any ideas? I know it's not great, but you might be able to get Gulches in the short notice.

BTW, Does anyone else find it ironic that the MLK run is being jeopardized due to discrimination towards our sport?

Long weekend means more travel time...
Ya'll should come over to Morris Mountian for the extended weekend.
Nice park and getting better daily.

Morris Mtn is definitely fun, but the lodging in the area is somewhat lacking. This trip has been about everyone getting together under one roof (for the most part) and not so much about camping in the cold.

Coal Creek looks like something new to try, but mostly standard hotels in the area, unless the Prez has personal knowledge of cabin facilities?

You missed the first couple of MLK runs then. I gotta give it up to UC for continuing it as great organized club event over the last couple of years, but it originally started as a "freeze what you got off" weekend.

I realize Morris Mountain is most likely too far for most to travel, but Cheaha State Park is 15 min away from MM and it has stellar lodging. It also has very little as far as level 2 trails go, most are level 3 and above.

I def. want to do something that weekend as I have the hall pass and want to use it! Being in GA, I am down to go in any direction and am not afraid to camp in snow/cold/rain/etc.

David I took a look. Would be a great place spring, fall or summer.

We live high on the hog for this event. I couldn't find a single decent rental place in Oliver Springs, TN.

What wheeling places are there besides Gulches, Tellico, Coal Creek that are within a 3.5 hr driving radius of the Upstate.

Well we could always do Cullowhee.

Nice house about 5 miles from the trails.

I am pretty sure that the Rover guys have something planed for this same weekend at Cullowhee. Having never been there not sure if that matters or not. I was thinking about going up there myself with my brother on that Sunday nite since I can never get a saturday off. Was thinking about camping it. Who knows with any luck it could turn into the cullowhee snow run. :)

How bout something like this for the shirt? With whatever website we want to list or some other organization that is working to keep tellico open.

What about River Rock in Milledgeville, GA?

Could be fun! College town nearby too! :P

Hey Hendog here, Ga Cruisers. ( AKA The Corn Guy from over Da Mountain) STLCA (THE NASHVILE GUYS) are heading to Royal Blue that weekend. Maybe we could all meet up there. Its 75 North exit 144. Just My two cents....
