I want to be in since I have not wheeled at all since moving back to GA from CA. Started working on the hall pass. I still plan on joining the club next year regardless (Dan has just spoken too highly of it for me not to).

Talked with the people who own the cabins we are renting this morning. I told her about my concerns with the possible trail closures. She stated if they closed the trails she would refund our money. It was really sad to talk to someone who this will have a negative impact on. Pretty much this will kill her income if they close the trails. She doesn't know what she will do. I hope the forestry service understands the impact to the people this will have if they do this.
We are still on for MLK. I would suggest we come out in force for this event to show our support for Tellico. We could make this a Save Tellico Rally.

Great idea Marshall, I can't wheel, but I might just have to come be house frau for the weekend if I am not too pregnant and pissed off to come. I'd love to see UC make a donation to SFWDA for the Rescue Tellico Fund.

Maybe we could make up a simple one color t-shirt with the MLK'08 and have it themed around saving Tellico. The donate all profits to SFWD for the Tellico fund.

UPDATE: We heard from the FS today. They plan to give us a decision on the winter closures next week. But as we have seen, don't hold your breath. I'll let you know when I do.

Wed next week. Have no idea on paramater. Needs to be a vector file. And be related to MLK 2008 and saving Tellico.

Do you need the shirt by tomorrow wed (19th) or the following wed? I will be dicking around at work on thur and could whip some stuff up if thats not to late. Some ideas for what we want in the design would be a good start too. Since I am not going either way I can pitch in with a design.

They are closing until March 31st. A portions of 2, 8 and all of 9,7 are closed for a year. My understanding is 99% of all closures means a permant closure.
This does not mean we will won't have a MLK weekend it just means we have to find another place and quick.
