REAR...both sides :)

Many thanks to the people who made it happen:

Ken, Alan, Cap Jim, Heather for cooking.

Kat, Bill and Leigh for joining us.

MArshal and John Paul for putting it together

"The Sole Survivors", below on "Helicopter"

So you didn't like the hot dogs I cooked. ;) :flipoff2:
How about the breakfast I bought for this morning? LOL...
Is this because my Cuban cigar connection let us down?
How about Andy's chili and cornbread? ROFLMAO...
I know you had at least one bowl of that good stuff.
I saw ya stuffing your face with it in the Barn. :grinpimp:

Hmmmm so what are Romeo #2 worth in barter?

I hope everyone will hold back on posting pics. If you want send me a link to the site you post them in inline or e-mail them to me to host I will then send an e-mail to all club members with links. That way we can still do the article for TT.

Thanks everyone for the help this weekend. Everyone did a great job. I couldn't have pulled this off without all of your help.

:flipoff2: Thanks, Gundy.

You know I will always fail the ones dearest to me.

How about a bullet in my freaking head.

A posted pic on any internet site = not able to be used in the TT.

Just something to keep in mind.

Hey me amigo, I just couldn't resist ribbing my deer (pun intended) pal. :flipoff2:
You, having had your deer encounter, will appreciate that I got to see
a grouse on trail #1! I haven't seen one of those in years! I thought it
was a little jake just standing in the road. I slowed so as to get close
and dang if it wasn't a grouse.

sure an sorry we missed the trip. I would much rather have been there than stuck here at work all weekend. Hopefully stacy and I can figure a way to transport our 40 to some of these longer events. I just have the thought of driving 4+ hours, wheeling with a chance of breakage, and having such a long trip back.....Man I really wish we had kept the F250 now.

Thanks to everyone for a really good time. Nice to see old friends and meet up with new ones. Although, thanks to this site, I feel like I already knew everybody. Nice to put faces with these Avatars.

House was great, kinda hard to find at times, though.:o

Food, beverages, comaraderie and wheeling were all top shelf. Thanks to all for putting this one together and showing up.

I especially want to thank everyone for their concern on the "Boys night out". I kinda felt like my teenage daughters when they are late for curfew. But it was indeed, a concern well-warranted. Nice to know your friends care.

Looking forward to more in the future.

Oops. I've posted most of mine on Photobucket already. Just do a search for "BMThiker" on photobucket.com and you'll find my pics.

Kudos to Marshall & JP for organizing this trip. This was my first time at Tellico and we had a really great time. The cabin was great and NOW that everyone knows how to get there, going back will be a breeze.

I appreciate all the cooks in the kitchen: Ken, Alan, Capt Jim, Heather, Andy and Nate. We all ate very well. Some of you guys were cooking before I was even awake.

School Bus schooled me, but I'm not disappointed! I came out of it with only minor bumper dings. I think it was the right move considering the carnage witnessed on the 40s.

Alex, I would love whatever pics you have of me on School Bus. Cat started to freak a little when my wheels were pointed to the sky and didn't get too many photos. I'll send you my email addy in a PM.

We also had a great day of wheeling on our way back to ATL. We met up with Tellico Rob and took 5 to 4 and back to 1. The weather was beautiful and it was a satisfying end to a great weekend of wheeling with some familiar faces and new ones too.

Looking forward to seeing yall again real soon.

Sorry I missed it...

Sorry I missed all the fun. On Friday, the owner of Mostly Toyotas in Asheville invited me to come over to the shop Saturday to wrench with him. We tore into the 62, adjusted valves and installed a new EFI temp. sensor. So, while I missed out on being a U.N. observer, I was there in spirit!

Sorry I haven't been to mud this week, totally exhausted with Tellico on the heels of two weeks in Split.
But I gotta get on because the forum watch dogs just chided me for lurking. Kinda freaky browsing along and up pops a message saying 'hey Wright, you haven't posted anything in a few weeks, jump in'. OK i-gods, you so smart, didn't you know I was in Europe and couldn't get on because I forgot my password?

Anyway throughly enjoyed the weekend. You guys really know how to put on a road trip. Missing Friday night turned out to be a blessing because it caused me to spend the day with 'Tellico' Rob Theurer which probably saved my poor Bonnie from untold damage. The one time I went without him right at the end I went the wrong way through Silt Trap and completely sprung my body rear end. Now none of plastic fits *tears of laughter*. Come on aftermarket bumper.

Loved the bambi chili, just what I needed after nine hours of wheelin'. Loved the hot tub, needed that too. Great show, thanks a lot everybody. Even learned about half of your names to compare with the avatars.
Great club, glad I found you.

Your fame precedes you

As I was gassing up in Tellico Plains, I met a couple of Cruiserheads
from Ga in their monster green 60. They had been looking for our group
that weekend. One thing lead to another and they mentioned this wild guy
who they wheeled with that was also looking for UC. They told of this guy
hard wheeling an FJC and how he almost rolled it a couple of times. I thought
of you and when I asked if his name was Bill they said "yeah, that was him!"
Seems we have a Wild Bill #2 in the club now!
You fit right in with this Cruiser crowd.

I agree, glad you joined the group Bill!

Nate and I passed that 60 when we were leaving the compound. Man was that thing a beast!!

We saw them too. Anyone know who they were? I haven't seen that truck before.

Two guys from Calhoun Falls GA. Driver named Ben, shotgun was Todd. No club, should have given them a UC card, but they were with Josh and Oscar from Ga Cruisers. Ben's been building the 60 for about six months. Did some of it on the trail. His fuel pump gave out and Rob loaned him his spare (he had a mech and an elec for his diesel 40). While we were at it discovered a major leak under his rocker cover so dismounted it and rebedded the gasket which had a crimp. The leak hadn't showed until it was parked on a side hill.

To the guy, sorry I lost your name, who was asking me about towing an FJC wheels down and looking at my owner's manual: No, don't do it, at least if you get the straight stick.
There's a thread about it in the FJ section of Mud. Can't be done. If you get the AT you can disconnect the drive shaft and do it. But not with the MT6.

Wild Bill eh? Yeah I guess I've heard that one a time or three heh heh.
