Took a little Delta loop this am. We started it off at Berry’s in Benton MS for a 9 am burger (and meat pie if you are a Delta rat)

From there we picked up one of my favorite roads through Oil City to Satartia

We hit the levee at Panther Swamp and made the long ride up to just south of Belzoni

The wooden trestle at Oil City is now concrete.

I don't care what y'all say, that meat pie was a fine appetizer!

Crazy it’s been 10 months since I took the time to make some tracks.


My company is letting me go back to work finally so I get to take a break from real work and feed people and talk about Cancer.

I had a long gap between my 7:30 appt and my 5:30 appt so I took the opportunity to run up to Mosley Motors and grab the trailer I left last week then I took a route through Holly Springs National Forest east of Oxford.

Nothing spectacular but beautiful woods. I would not consider and of the camps I marked very good but if you need a place to get away they are better than a campground.

Picking up my Tacoma the first weekend in March. Road tripping it home from the dealership in Denver. Can’t wait to explore North MS, as I’m living in Southaven now. Been looking on Gaia a ton, but if you have any easy trails/fire roads let me know!

Any good quick side trips, stops or alt routes between Memphis and Jackson? Well be headed that way in a couple weeks after a pit stop at MM World HQ on our way to pick up another gem from one of our friends in Jackson. Or between Jackson and Birmingham'ish direction?

Made a loop through the Delta and grabbed a burger at the Onward Store today

Headed North to Goodman then across to Hillside Reserve then back to Benton for a burger.

Hit my Benton to Vicksburg route to see if all the bridges are still standing and it’s good to go.

I just took the time over the last few days to read through all 38 pages of this thread, the time and dedication you’ve devoted to making these roads is impressive. Once I get more aquatinted with Gaia I plan to start exploring some of these routes you’ve uploaded. Being from Union county I’ll have to do some driving to find some dirt.

Any ideas what this concrete building used to be? From what I can see from the road there’s no windows, just vents. Located east of Yazoo City on highway 432.
