the goal is thursday evening to drop this in...
Oddly enough I hope to have mine going back together and run it in Thursday too. As long as my head gasket and freeze plugs come in I plan on working in the morning and wrenching till it's done in the afternoon-evening. Then if that goes well Friday night after work i'll bolt the sheetmetal back on and take her for a ride.
looking good! It's nice to see the tone of thread changing... Look forward to the install on Thursday.

Aaron,
Looking at the pics, the cam gear clip is not clearly visible.
Since the cam was just replaced, did somebody definitely install the retaining ring?

Like 6 months. I was waiting for a buddy to do it for free. He was a Navy under water welder and now makes parts for a company that makes machines that make hardwood flooring. (The joke was that I was going to have to fill the garage with water for him to do a good jobJesus Christ Hugh... how long did that take....![]()

Hi Aaron after talking to you last month I'v been looking through your thread, its impresive, if you are up for it I'd like to see it in person some day.
Thanks; Mark (Fort Ripley)
I just caught this last part of your thread in the past couple of days! Good to see it going back together! It will be nice to get a chance to breathe after all you've put into this beauty! Why did you and Matt end up using the same color for both of your trucks?![]()
It was on there when the cam was installed into the engine...
