buy my blue pig...we have too many rigs again:rolleyes:

You can never have too many, especially when the non-runners need parts from the runner to get them running. :bang: Guess I'll need to register the Pontiac again this year.

lol....getting hard to get around. i have a very small lot (1/3 acre). have to move at least one rig any time you want to get anything done. was at 8 rigs a few years ago...found four was a good number. then pighead moved in, then we got another rig, here we go again;)

I thought mine was the only pig to smell of gas in cab! Is there no way to fix this?!!!

Woops! Sorry wrong thread.
I had gas smell in the cab. I saw there was a fuel return line under the hood that wasn't capped. I capped it and no more fuel smell.

nice shot...early rigs had an evap box underneath, no? also, yeah, follow all fuel supply/return/vapor lines, inspect the steel and replace the rubber and clamps, check evap plastic can in left fender for cracks, replace check valve and make certain charcoal filter is not clogged. some models have a vapor line going from the charcoal can to the drivers floor kick area. since I lost the arse end of my truck and had to house the vapor thingy in the toolbox behind the cab, I have no more gas OR exhaust smells.....I think the wagon is a low pressure sink:rolleyes:

I got to ride bitch in cruisernerd's 55 that year, and drive it a bit.

First 55 I drove :)

Ratpuke's 55 was the second and sealed it in my mind that I needed to pig one up. ;)

Time to start getting my head in the game, shouldn't be long now till I can start putting in some time working on Spot.

Plan A as of now is 2FE, SM420, 3 speed case with stock axles, suspension and steering till after inspection and registration. After it's a rolling project and I have a chance enjoy it a bit I plan to swap in an e-locked 62 front axle and hopefully another e-locker in either a FF 60 rear axle or cut down 80 rear axle. Currently thinking SUA with a thinned down 60 OME springs and air bags. Perhaps a bit of body lift if needed for clearance of the 2FE and/or tires.

Plan B if the stock brakes or steering need too much work is to go straight to the 60 series axles and steering along with the spare 3FE I have sitting around.

What gears should I expect in the stock '69/'70 axles? 3.73 or 4.11?

Beginnings of a homebrew adapter plate for the SM420. I've got a used aluminum plate adapter as back up, but where's the fun in that.
