Better, but why does the rear shackle look like its straight up and down? Also looks like the rear axle is forward and not centered in the wheel well. Is it possible the springs are on backwards? Are they OME springs? Which way is the arrow pointing? Where is the military wrap?

The shackles are at about a 10 degree angle. Springs are older OME so no arrow but the shorter side is to the front. There is about a 4 inch difference between the two so if they were flipped backwards it would be a no go. Might be the pic, but there is less than an inch difference in the wheelwell from front to back. Remember, as the wheel stuffs, it is going to move the axle aft as the shackle swings back.

Edit...not so much because of the shackle swinging back but because the front part of the spring is flattening and getting ‘longer’.

Power antenna mast came in today, the motor works fine but the old mast was bent so it would only move up and down a few inches.

Fun times today, the rear output flange was weeping gear oil past the splines at about 1 drip every 12 hrs. Pulled the flange, sealant applied, and back together.
Pumping gear oil back in, the hose blew off the pump and sprayed everywhere. Looked at my helper and the working in porn jokes started flying. Good times.

I’m still amazed at how good of shape every part of this rig is in when you wipe away the funk.

After about five years mine are starting to not want to go all the way up when it is cold out. Brings the door about level with the roof and will hold the door up if I manually extend all the way. May be time for some new ones for me as well.

Okay, sorry to take you off topic but where did you get your copy of the 36264e A440 transmission manual?
Thanks for all the inspiration broheim!

Not too much to report, just been driving and putting miles in. The transmission has been good to go.
Recently the motor ran a little warm on a drive, pulled the thermostat and it was stuck closed. Decided to go ahead and refresh the whole cooling system.
New radiator, water pump, Tstat, hoses, and clamps are in work. Decided to do the timing cover gasket and seal while I had it pulled apart...also the motor mounts.

Not going to finish in record time this time. I’m awaiting parts and the post office delivered half my stuff to the wrong address. It’s not the first time the mail person has given the box key to the wrong person, hopefully the neighbor that received it is nice enough to bring it to me.

I think the mail person (was it ups?) can tract where they dropped it off by mistake. One did that here, I came home to a bunch of newborn furniture and I was trying to figure which house but thankfully the driver showed back up a few days later and redrlivered it.

Finally got all the parts in, of course the camshaft cover gasket and oil seal were the last to arrive. Got that installed using some Toyota FIPG and did a little pretty work. Had the air cleaner box sandblasted and sprayed some black on it.
