Looks great!

Coming from an early gen 200, these few items were the best money I've spent on my '16 LX570

1. Pedal Commander - stock throttle mapping left a lot to be desired. I would not own the LX without this.
2. Cup holder adapter - '16 LX's lack in this department. This one allows for the perfect offset to clear the dash and joystick.
3. Cell phone mount - The base mount that "grabs" the dash is very sturdy. The phone holder itself is a little weak but it works.
4. Seat gap storage - Center console area storage is lacking and with no good 3d printed option to store cell phone, etc. this has been great.

Every ratio is different from the 6 speed. Totally different driving experience.
This was the most surprising going from the 6 speed to the 8 speed for me. The 8 speed is a smooth silent type. It doesn't feel as peppy as my 6 speed 08, but I don't think it's any slower.

The Lexus “L” decals are pretty convincing at a distance.

There aren’t many 2016+ LX specific phone solutions so gave this a shot

I tossed the phone clip itself and put a Qi charger on the supplied ball. It’s right were I need it, solid-ish and completely reversible if I change my mind.

Beautiful truck! I bought a 2021 8 months ago and absolutely love it! So far it's bone stock, but this inspires me to change that!

Stock to stock-ish is the most fun transition!

Not questioning your preferences, just curious, but if you already have carplay why would you also need your phone hanging there for dear life? Why not just go with a wireless charger plugged in a USB or cigarette lighter?

there really isn't anywhere to put a wireless charger

the mouse thing is fine but slow, sometimes it's easier and safer just to reach over and tap the phone

Ah...got it. I did not know that with the LX carplay conversion you still have to use the little rat. That thing is something else annoying.

I think if you get the premium conversion with the new touchscreen you can avoid it a bit more?

that's my plan at least...

Possibly but decided against it because:

  • Have low confidence in quality. In my experience with similar products (like the "Tesla" screens), the materials are much lower grade than OEM
  • It's expensive
  • The placement of the screen was not decided to be within reach, so I have to lean forward (I'm a 5'6" short king y'all)
  • All of the other OEM car functions still require the mouse. So paying $1100 bucks to use touch for carplay seems expensive

If you can reach the screen, the conversion is awesome 🙌🏽
Ya i don't know if I want to use Carplay with a mouse. I want to be able to switch between Waze/Google maps/Spotify easily when driving 70mph.
Not tall but I have long arms lol

You can use touch and/or the mouse with the conversion kit. Both work like an OEM install in terms of speed and feedback.

The *only* thing wrong with this rig was the paint condition. As I mentioned in my first post, it had swirls basically covering every inch of it from an automatic car wash. I have allllll the detailing equipment and did a couple of test spots and didn't like the results so for the first time ever, I tried a mobile detailer.

This guy spent nearly 8 hours today in just-above-freezing temps here in the northwest

But the results are...immaculate. Check out my big dumb face reflected back at me:

Super dramatic photo taken in the last 30 seconds of light in a parking lot:

I can't wait to see it in the sun!

Feeling pretty lucky fellas.
Is the bottom photo with AHC in normal or high?

Just solved my rocker panel for Slee sliders dilemma…

I’ve been chasing cruiser rocker panels for a while but always scoffed at paying basically 100% of parts price in shipping. This is an incredible deal.

For anyone ordering rocker panels, these took almost 6 weeks to ship

This past weekend I finally had a chance to get this rig out on some dirt (well, mud, snow, and loose rock), air down the tires, and put it into 4lo. I'm quite certain the only other time it was in 4lo was when @radman test drove it for me.

No surprise, it performed great. I really like the KO3s. 295 is really the perfect size, I feel silly for going from 295 to 35x12.5 on my last rig. It was a lot of hassle for margin gains.

A few other reflections in contrast to my build 2008:

Stock weight LX with stock AHC is really just about perfect in terms of usable performance envelope. I enjoyed AHC less on my 2008 when I added weight but didn't offset it. I'm also not running a sensor lift right now and didn't experience the topping out in high that I hated about my 2008. I'm committed to running a front spacer if/when I do a sensor lift.

When aired down in my 2008, the MID would constantly flip back to the TPMS screen making it useless. On the 2021 it flashes once and then you can use the MID.

MTS is super good. I'm not sure I was able to push it to it's limit but was impressed. I am however surprised there isn't a snow program.

Looks sick. Are these pics in neutral or high AHC?
