Great score! Congrats

(And now I’m subbed :))

How are you liking the Hamilton CarPlay? What are the cons?

I love it so far, much faster than the GROM and seems to be more responsive. Sounds crazy but was this area on my drive to work next to a power substation and the GROM would crash 100% of the time there. The Hamilton has been rock solid.

The cables are nicer, instructions are nicer, and no perceptable loss in quality between "native" USB or bluetooth inputs

So. Are you going to trade the 2008 in for the 300 now?

;)

The 2021 looks great!

The *only* thing wrong with this rig was the paint condition. As I mentioned in my first post, it had swirls basically covering every inch of it from an automatic car wash. I have allllll the detailing equipment and did a couple of test spots and didn't like the results so for the first time ever, I tried a mobile detailer.

This guy spent nearly 8 hours today in just-above-freezing temps here in the northwest

But the results are...immaculate. Check out my big dumb face reflected back at me:

Super dramatic photo taken in the last 30 seconds of light in a parking lot:

I can't wait to see it in the sun!

Feeling pretty lucky fellas.

congrats! super tempted to jump into a “simple” build LX too, I know my wife would be happier with one

Just solved my rocker panel for Slee sliders dilemma…

I’ve been chasing cruiser rocker panels for a while but always scoffed at paying basically 100% of parts price in shipping. This is an incredible deal.

Can you share which pieces your ordered ie part numbers ? Are you going to get them custom painted ?

They come painted in one of the Land Cruiser black colors. Close enough for me.

Body Rocker Panel Molding Assembly Right Hand
Part Number: 75850-60040-C0

Body Rocker Panel Molding Assembly Left Hand
Part Number: 75860-60040-C0

The last two digits are color code.

Wrapping up my compressor install with some Slee billet terminals. These things are buy once, cry once but a huge upgrade:

Always knew you'd be back on that sweet sweet AHC train. Looks awesome!

Man, you’re going to make me start spending money on my truck.

Awesome. Congrats, been contemplating 'what next' myself since the 250 and 300 aren't appealing. What is so different from a daily driver perspective?

Oh man, long list from my base model 2008

8-speed is significant improvement. First gear is lower and two cruising gears.

Headlights are nuts.

Adaptive cruise.

Mark levinson audio is super impressive.

Not relevant to daily driving but lots of new off road goodies: MTS, hill assist, 5-speed crawl control, turn assist

Nice! I guess my 2010 has some of that and retro'd the off-road goodies... Does the 8spd feel peppy enough, it just better for mpg?

I'm longing for adaptive after driving wife's i5. Does it do any lane keep assist?

Levinson is nice- how's the infotainment?

Every ratio is different from the 6 speed. Totally different driving experience.

the one thing I noticed going from the 6 speed to the 8, is that the 6 would allow while manually shifting to bump off of the rev limiter all you want and would upshift as soon as you pushed the shifter. The 8 will hit the rev limiter and immediately pull throttle. It will fall flat on it's face and then when you upshift it, there is a long delay before it upshifts and gives you throttle again.

Can’t say I’ve ever bumped the rev limiter on either rig but good to know
