Curious where you found the specs for the Bilstein stabilizers? I'm trying to determine which size will fit the throw of my FJ40 linkage...

It was between a couple websites. I ordered from www.shockwarehouse.com and they have specs. But they weren't as easy to find different ones. Most of the rough estimate came from searching stabilizer shocks on Amazon. lol. Then I went to shockwarehouse and verified the length and eyes. Hope that helps. It wasn't cut and dry...

Now that winter is here, its time to get some things done that I wanted to do. First off was IFS hubs on the front axle to get rid of the wheel spacers. And since the hubs were off I put in the Eaton E-locker.

I just read through your build and it is impressive.
I am planing to use a Cummins R2.8 for my FJ40 with the H55F and split transfer case.

I have been driving diesels since 1995 and the 3 Cummings I have had I learned to watch my boost and EGTs together. If your EGTs are high and boost is low you need to downshift that raises your RPMs and more air flows across the head. If you see smoke in the rear view mirror you are not burning all the fuel and need to downshift.

I use to pull my 5th wheel over several passes in Wyoming, and Colorado and push anyone in front of me until I could pass and usually I was pulling more weight.

Just dug through messages, he was who contacted me last August.
I probably won't be getting my 40 back until the end of the summer, but I could bring the 80 when the time comes

I don't think that would be a problem. They sent out a group text not long ago talking about interest in doing the Wisconsin **** trail and a get together to work on another Cruisers vehicle.

Well... In true fashion for me, I can't leave anything alone...

Bought a couple adapters from AA, to see if they would work for mounting the FJ60 splitcase to a Chrysler 545RFE...
They didn't quite work, so I had to make a few notes on them and have one machined.

Slight trimming on the transmission output shaft and it fits like a charm!!

And here we are last night test fitting the 2.8L CRD with a 545RFE 5 speed auto to the fj60 splitcase. It actually fits in there like it was meant to be.

I liked my VW but it had some problems that I got fed up with and needed to pull the drivetrain to address. And I had trouble keeping the EGT's down. So I decided to go another route..

Holy cow. Thats a big change. So what is a 2.8 crd? What about that Mercedes diesel some people are going to? The ome diesel or whatever.

I think it is the heep 2.8 diesel.
