Meet and Greet 2010

We need to get another one of these set up. We all don't meet up nearly enough.

I say we do a camping/trail run this time and plan it far enough out where everyone can make time to go.

Let's get the ball rolling gentlemen!

Forget who says they are in because that always changes. Lets get some ideas of where we are going to go!

If we do the desert then I would suggest North Borrego maybe Upper Coyote so the LA/OC guys don't have to drive as far.

I'd love Coyote Canyon b4 it's closed for the summer! Upper or lower - never been to upper, but lower is always fun!

RFJTOY and I were supposed to get up there last Sunday, but had to curtail that day of wheeling because of lingering issued with my truck. After a HG job I was still loosing coolant. They found a leaking hose at the back of the engine dripping on the manifold and have fixed that, but are still running more tests because there was still coolant/oil mix in the oil cap. May be residual moisture from the blown HG or they may have pinched the new HG on install, or... they are checking.

I agree with Eric... whats with all you guys always heading to Anza or Ocotillo? Don't you know there's more than one desert area in SOCAL? Shoot for that matter there's places with actual trees! Lets make it somewhere else for once. Besides this is a SOCAL80's section , not the SAN DIEGO 80's.. there's a section for that Last time i checked SOCAL is more than just 50 miles from the border.

Does it help that I live about 85 miles from the border?

Big Bear area will be a muddy mess in April.
DV is a little far for a meet and greet as is SB. Grapevine area is even about 100 miles from the OC and Anza is about the same, but I like the desert better.

You are mr travel man - suggestions???

I think a good compromise would be Brooklyn Mine trail in JT. That is a great trail. I dont know if I am ready to do a drive like that in the new 40 but who knows.
