Here was mine 2 years ago.

For whatever reason, they did not require me to smog it this year. It was done in '07, passed, and should be due, but I sent in the paperwork recently, and it did not require a smog test this year.

How did you get away with no smog? You're still in the Bay Area? Maybe the gods in Sacramento have changed the playbook again?

Anybody guess who this belongs to?

Hey,

while you guys are putting all those nice clean carb pics up, would you show where the line coming off from a ported tap for vacuum advance would be? I'm talking about the conversion for earlier cruiser carbs that is done by Mark. Thanks! ty

Don't know. Yes. Maybe, but I haven't heard anything.

My last smog check was a couple months after the registration was paid, so it was technically less than two years ago. If so, there's a loophole: drive it with expired reg for a month, then get the smog done and it's good for three years instead of two. (?)

Got Mark to build me one of his carbs for my Pig, WOW
I had no idea a 2F could be this smooth and responsive, it's almost like Fuel Injection........I have heard of the magic he and Jim C perform on the Asin's but had not witnessed it until today.
Butch

Wish i had the same luck, Mr. Algazy kept my carb for a month, would not return phone calls, would not send my carb to me without me paying him an extra 200 bucks (totaling over $500.00) not including shipping and the thing runs like poop. :bang: Have fiddled with it for days and finally taken it to 4 different mechanics over the past weeks (another chunk of change) who all say the carb has to be clogged for it to be running so poorly. I'm not an expert on carburetors but I am pretty good when it comes to people... and all i can say is he was a total PIA to deal with. That, and now I have the most expensive carburetor of anyone I know, and it is pretty much a doorstop.

What was the extra $200 for?
