Don't think I have seen this in here so I'll ask. But once you install the Teyes unit, can I ditch the nav cd module under the passenger seat?

Thanks i finally got the two side vents in and holy that was struggle to get them in place.
Now i need to figure out where in this post to change the temp from Celsius to Fahrenheit
Finished my installation today. I did the updates from teh T'eyes built in app there were 4 of them that i needed to download and update. It changed the stock HVAC screen to this and the temp changed from C to F which was nice. Although the system temp reading is showing C vs F even though I set it to display F...but I read that a firmware update fixes that.
Along with HVAC screen change there was a instant trip information screen that's now available albeit in km and not in the imperial system.
My time zone seems to be messed up because when I have it set to "system" it has me on the EST vs PST where I'm located. I had to go in and manually set this to PST. Not sure what's up with that. May require me to do a firmware update.
I also hooked up the factory backup camera to this head unit. Picture quality is as expected for a 2004 camera, but all I need it for is for backing up so it'll do for now.
I went on the T'eyes site to look for the latest firmware and I'm assuming that this is the one I need to download?

Also got this installed today. @daohaus You were asking about those screw holes. There are screws that go in there, just not from the front they go in the back. They came off the old nav unit.

Interesting regarding the firmware. Although my unit is new to me. Purchased from mudder. Just trying to figure out the right download so i don’t brick my unit
My bad if I gave wrong information I would’ve bet my house there were no screws there! Felt so wrong installing without screws too. By chance got a pic of which screws went there?
I ended up digging through my RC car screw bin and found a couple nice aluminum bolts with some nuts and washers. Problem solved
I believe my latest firmware is from 2025 August. But we may run off of different firmware because you have the cc3 vs the cc3 2k which I purchased. Stole a photo from domsmith but here is the screw.

Anyone get notification from the T’eyes FOTA regarding a newer firmware update(July 2025)? I had emailed them and they said the April 2025 is the newest which coincides with what they have posted on their website. I completed that update and after reboot i received this one
Hey all. Here's a question for RHD wagon owners. I'm looking to get a Teyes CC3 2K for my 2005 LX 470 (with factory audio). It's a RHD. Are there different installation fascia panels for RHD vs LHD's? Or are they all the same? Looking to buy from Teyes on Ali Express and they say they don't have RHD versions. Do you get them if you buy in Austraila?
I would double check with teyes in Australia to be safe but I don't imagine they would be any different at all. Don't think the head units are different at all between RHD and LHD. I think even in the older 100 series the antenna button is in the same spot, a quick google could probably show you they are the same as well.

I've just ordered one of these cameras along with the CC3 2K. Good to know you can use the original camera. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried using the original camera cable rather than running a new one? Sounds like an easier job.
