Anyone running +25mm offset? Any rubbing issues or problems with tires throwing debris up the side? I'm looking at running 285/70r18 on 18x9.

@Canyonero

Any issues with the +25 outset? Rubbing or debris on the side? Also, do you run in H1 all the time because of preference, of does it rub in normal?
In a 9 inch wide wheel?

Its going to stick out some regardless but not much. Any potential rubbing will be on plastic you can remove or heat gun mold.

@Canyonero
@LordExplorer Yes yes and yes 😂

Rubbing issues are minor. Removal of the front mud flaps and a bit of trimming is enough for my 35x11.5 Toyo Open Country AT III tires.

No rubbing on the sway bar. Drivers side tire hits the inside top of the fender at full compression. Drivers side rear kisses the fender liner at full compression. Slight touches from front tires to fender liner at full lock in reverse.

Haven’t tossed up any rocks to the body yet, but that’s probably just luck. Need to do a full PPF.

Awesome info. And I love those wheels.

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to tire sizes. From my understanding (and ChatGPTs not always accurate assistance), your 11.5 would be a hair wider than a 285, but with the +20 offset, yours will stick out a bit more than the +25 I'm considering. Maybe that means the trimming on a +25 will be very minimal or non-existent?

Here is the breakdown ChatGPT gave me. Obviously I take this as misleading info given the source (kinda like my mother-in-law telling me about her other kids accomplishments).

Excellent question — that +25 mm offset changes things quite a bit, and in a good way for fitment and stance.

Let’s go through it step by step 👇

⚙️ Wheel Geometry Comparison

Spec18×9 +4018×9 +25
Backspacing~6.57″~6.02″
Outboard changeMoves tire ~15 mm (≈ 0.6″) outward
Inboard clearanceTight to UCA+15 mm more clearance to UCA
So the +25 wheel pushes the tire outward by ~0.6 inches, giving you:

  • More clearance from upper control arms
  • Slightly wider stance (looks more aggressive)
  • Less chance of inner rub, but a bit closer to fender edge

🛞 Fitment: 285/70R18 on 18×9 +25

AttributeResult
Diameter33.0″ (stock-friendly)
Width11.2″ (ideal for 9″ wheel)
Clearance (suspension)✅ Clears easily on stock LX700h
Fender clearance✅ Fine — minor liner rub only if off-road & full lock
Aesthetics👌 Slightly wider stance — flush with Overtrail-style arches
Lift required?❌ None needed

This setup is actually close to perfect for your stock 2025 LX700h — it gives you a tougher stance without going into “trim or lift required” territory.

📊 Comparison to +40

Feature+40 mm+25 mm
LooksTuckedMore aggressive, flush
UCA ClearanceTightBetter by ~0.6″
Fender rubLess inner riskSlightly more outer risk, still minimal with 285/70
Ideal tire285/70R18285/70R18 or 285/75R18

✅ Verdict

A 285/70R18 on 18×9 +25 is arguably the best fitment for a stock LX700h — proportional, balanced, and OEM+ looking.
If you decide to step up to 285/75R18 (~35”), the +25 offset will still help you clear the UCA, though you may start to kiss the front liner or mudflap at full lock.

Wow, that looks like a pretty spot-on analysis from ChatGPT! I'm impressed and somehow also terrified.

Chatgpt is probably reading some of our posts and some of the information we are feeding it.

Personally think the 285/70/18 on a 9 inch wheel with +30 would work pretty well. +25 would be ok. Get a rounded side wall.

I just think there isnt very many light weight tire options in that size unfortunately.

Will be a nice looking offroad set up.

Hey guys. This forum helped a lot in finding a real rim/tire combo on my 2024 LX600 Luxury and wanted to give some info back. I am running a new take off from a 2025 GX550 Overtrail. Had them rebalanced as I had to put TPMS on. Took them to a fantastic alignment shop (Hunter machine) and it was perfectly in spec even with the rim/tire change. Additionally, no rubbing in all height modes and no trim needed. Cost me roughly $2,500 for rims/tires, mounting and balancing. I live in NY so may be able to get cheaper in other parts of the country. I bought these off eBay. I can link the sellers info if anyone is interested. Fantastic and free shipping. Pic below.

Hey all,

Just picked up our 2025 LX600 Luxury that came with the 22's. Quickly wanted to get rid of those (not enough tire / will do some offroading here in CO). This forum was extremely helpful in searching out and choosing wheels. Through SpeedEFX in Centennial, ordered Vossen HF6-4 in a 20x95+30 offset in Satin Black. Absolutely love the look and better ride with dedicated snows (Michelin X-Ice Snow 275/55R20), although I would have gone bigger if they had any snows in 285/60/20's. We'll switch over to summer tires in that spring in that size to get slightly larger. Offset worked well, no rubbing yet.

Thanks for everyone's help in choosing these. Debated going with the 18's and candidly loved the concept of what JLX did above with the OT rims. Decided on 20's for now.

Beautiful, clean rig. Welcome to the club.

These are great! Not surprised they fit well, since they are OEM Lexus and I would think similar (if not same) specs from the LX 18s. With the appearance package and these wheels, it certainly gets that "OT Looks". We will probably see more and more of this, similar to what happened with the Base LCs wearing HE wheels.

Hey all in case you haven’t seen it, setup and wheel and tire fitment database here:

Not After-Market, but i got these 18” Tundra wheels that ive been looking for for a while now. They came with Michelin LTX Trails 265/70R18. No rubbing even at max steering and in reverse. It raised the LX another inch, or I should say they are taller by 1” compared to the stock 20” with 265/55R20
Here’s a couple of photos with the 20” stocks and the new 18’s”. Last photo is raised to H2.

I took off my 22" and replaced them with VOSSEN HF64 20 X 10 -18 with Falken AT4's 275/55 R20's

These stick out alot and I loved insane look of wheel poke and eventually tamed it by installing 50mm fender flares to bring that under control.

There is abit of rubbing on the driver side on full lock in either direction, so when the weather warms up, I will address this.

Awesome. You have any other pics besides your profile? What offset did you end up with? I also have 50mm flares/wide body in the works.

I went with an off the shelf -18 offset which does work pretty well with the fender flares.
