Started with a one owner pretty clean cruiser has one rust spot on drivers rear quarter panel. And drivers seat has a small tear in not bad for a 300k truck. Started by pulling body off so we could get motor trans and transfer out and back in easier.

Got drive train out and cleaned frame chopped off old motor mounts and got rid of old bumpers. Then new motor and trans came in. Do have the old motor and trans for sale in the drive train part of forum. Also will be selling a few other things as I take off old and put on new.

Cut off out put shaft on new transmission for adapter. Measured 4 or 5 times and went over directions several before I did it though lol. Got all bolted up. Hopefully next week will mock up in frame. This all have done now. Only have Monday afternoons to work on it and have been working on it for about 2 months now so not to bad.

Got motor mounts welded in and fame torn down for poweriser coat

Got frame sand blasted and powder coated then got old man emu springs put on motor trans and transfer case installed running brake and fuel lines now

Also redid both axles. Put aussie locker chrome moly axles in front and put lsd and disc brakes in rear. It's getting there but slowly hard to get time to work on it with 3 kids and a wife lol

What rear disk upgrade did you go with?

JT Outfitters. But doesn't hook up to factory e-brake cables. I will have to modify a little

I sure like seeing LS swaps, but this is just clean. Too clean....

That frame is beautiful...

This may be a dumb questions, but how did you know where to weld up the new motor mounts with the body off the frame?

Bolted up the motor trans transfer case and drive shaftes. Then welded in place had to modify trans crossmember to move transfer case forward 2” so didn’t have to cut drive shafts. And I did some measurements before pulled body to see where stock motor set. And new it was good but longer than ls1 motor.

Had a guy locally sand blast and powder coat frame and bumper and peaces. Only cost $400 was well worth it. It looks as good in person
