A quick update....drove it around in the woods for about an hour yesterday....lots of stuff going on, but first let me say this thing is incredible and will only improve, the power is orgasmic and I'll be the first to say toyota should have built them with this kinda power from the factory....The way it starts and the power steering is trademark chevrolet, it's a bit confusing at first to have it in the toyota but it all works seemlessly so far, The NP 205 is very touchy, likes to jump out of gear and gets gear noise (sounds like a grinding not the typical 205 gear noise) I have a set of twin stick shift rails, these may get installed, but I'm thinking it could be an issue with the shift fork or possibly a bearing..The cruiser lean is killing me, I need to order a new rear spring but can't make up my mind if I should get the tall or short one, will wait til it has a full tank of fuel to make the decision...dual batteries need to go in and I need to find a place to mount the coolant reservoir....overall first impressions I couldn't be happier...The new ome springs are flexy and it really likes to stay on all fours....had it pretty crossed up on some jumps and it seemed right at home.....very sure footed.....here's a couple pix from a cell phone so sorry about the quality....

Got some more done today, transfer case problems seem to be resolved, adjusted the shifter linkage and it is much happier now, shifts smoothly and stays in gear...bled brakes for what seemed like hours, the stock proportioning valve was trashed and had a bunch of rust in it, it was trying to flush the rust through the system, completely disassembled entire brake system and cleaned all lines and bled some more, pedal is getting better and the brakes are working but it feels like there is still air in the system, throttle response has vastly improved since changing out the fuel pump, the first one I got was bad....still a ways to go but it's getting closer....got some video today and some more poser pics......
Hungry??
Have some donuts....

Just to update.....Finally got rid of my cruiser lean, swapped the long rear spring out for a short rear spring, Got my shifters boots installed and put my carpet back in.....played around in the woods some more.......it's getting closer, will drive to the gas station tonight and load it up with fuel, see how the stance sits.........I know I need pictures, I forgot to take some so I will get some tonight.... I also picked up a piece of angle so I can notch my oil pan to ensure the driveshaft will not contact it, I will probably make two of the oil pans as I have enough material and two oil pans, so if you know anyone looking spread the word, it's a 2000 5.7 vortec camaro oil pan, the pick up will not be affected.
Thanks

So I drove to the gas station last night and then took about a 20 mile run, 1st thing is the clutch is slipping intermittently, it seems to do it only when I am really raping on it, hopefully it is just some adjusting on the shift fork but even with the clutch slipping this thing is incredible, 3rd and 4th gear literally pin you in the seat. Sounds awesome, and drives awesome......suspension feels really good, it handles well, continuing to work out kinks and bugs but I couldn't be happier right now.....interior is getting re-installed.....video and high quality pics to follow.......

Gotten some stuff done....got the tach figured out...had to set it to 4cyl, installed headlights, they are super bright...interior is back in...need to drop gas tank and change out dome fuel lines...ethanol has gotten them...waiting on add a leaves to get here this week to get rid of the rake.....don't know that it will ever be finished but it is getting closer.... Here's a pic waiting on aal...

Been making progress, took three steps back, fuel tank is f***ked.....full of rust clogged pre filter...rubber lines did not appreciate ethanol...dro0ped tank...flushed cleaned etc...sending unit and pick up were trashed... Replace lines and filter....put add a leaf in with 8 degree shims for front axle....bled clutch slave cylinder and brakes....lots of stuff going on...but it left a black mark...will update more later here's a video for now....leaving out the digger shop...
#FJ6.0 Rollin out...:

Ok so now that I am at a computer I can update more thoroughly....So the truck started to have some issues running, it was falling on its face (running out of fuel), to reiterate what I posted in my last post the inside of tank was trashed, lots of rust sending unit was frozen and the pick up was crap..ethanol is not friendly to these fuel systems....here's a pic of the pickup...

So I added the old man emu add a leafs with 8 degree shims, the driveshaft looks much better in regards to pinion angle

It still had a bunch of forward rake so I went back to the old shackles I think they are warrior but it has gotten rid of most of the rake, looks much better to me, get a full tank of fuel in it and it might sit level....here's how it sits now....

Been driving it more and more and it puts a big ass smile on my face, things left to do...need to get different rims am thinking about some 15x10 chrome bart wheels if I can get them in 3.5" backspacing, I checked with Summit today and they said they had to call Bart to see if they make them with 3.5" backspacing....open to suggestions for rims too....as far as tires go will run these bfg's till they are dead and then probably go with 33's no idea for manufacturer, not really a fan of the KM2's Need to get my group 34 batteries and figure out dual alternators or whichever way I am going to go with it.....I bought another cruiser from a buddy to get some parts off of it but my buddy whose shop I am doing the swap at had to have it....so not sure if I will get the sliders off it or fabricate my own.....time will tell
Here's his new FJ62......

Still need a/c lines made and a bunch of other stuff but figured I would give this thread a worthy update, I am looking for a new gas tank so if any mud members have a toyota hook up that would be great!!

Been a while since I gave an update..........will get some more pictures up soon, ran through my first tank of gas...economy was not where I had hoped as I burned 21 gallons and went 259 miles......There were many burnouts and lots of hard driven miles so I think economy will improve as I start to ease out of it.....Got my oilpan cut and welded, need to finish the bracket for the wires under the oil pan but it's in progress.....Super fun to drive and it gets comments usually whenever I stop.....Still looking for recommendations on wheels, going back to stock wheels until I can decide what I want.....Looks like I will have my 60 back in time for xmas...I'm stoked....

Changed my stance up, went back to stock rims....I think it drives better..wheeled the crap out of Saturday and it takes a beating just fine...Here's a pic after I got.it all cleaned up...

What is the lift kit you have on it? I dig the stance with the stock rims.
