ill be another one in chas and columbia area as soon i get the sale finalized on the TLC

i have oyster roast for LawRiders MC tomorrow...and another bike show on Sunday...next weekend I have a wedding and got to make room for a round of golf. Other than that I am free.... Plus I need to get up on Saluda River and pick up the FJ60 my dad sold me... hahahahahaha

It looks like there are several new members in the Charleston Area. We had a great get together a long while back (see the photo) but really need to look at doing another one.

My '77 cruiser will be on its way, next week, to ATL for a new engine. That means I won't have a cruiser to drive to any gathering for a while, but I'll bring pictures and live vicariously through others.

Maybe we can look at getting folks together on a Saturday or Sunday in late April. Maybe the 19th or 20th?

any weekend or friday evening is good for me but just waitin on finalizing on this cruiser damn NC DMV

Well, it seems that we have a good response for another get-together. Since I haven't seen any conflicts, can we plan to meet on Saturday, 19 April at 12:30?

Last time, we got together at Andolini's in Mt.P. which seemed to work well. They have lots of parking, and an outside eating area where we can gather. Are there any other recommendations?

Finally, let me know what you think about this graphic.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

Looks good. Now if you could add some color (SC Blue?) And fit it into a 3x5 space. Maybe the SC flag logo in the back ground.

well its lookin good there is gona be another FZJ80 in chas and col area im awaitin this weekend to pick it up what a easter gift to myself

not sure where else to post this as it is a Charleston thing...but took my two day old FJ today and found a tire shop that will take trade-in new tires or slightly used. He took look at the brand new tires on FJ that came on her two days ago......told him what I wanted to do and that I either wanted the Kumho MT KL71 or the Nitto Terra Grappler AT tires.....that I had Nitto last time and they wore great, rode great, etc...

He recommended the Nitto and said he would work up the price for 5 replacements where I just pay the difference.

I ended up having to pay $500 for 5 Nitto TG 295x70x17 tires plus $50 for mounting, balancing, etc...for total of $550 out the door. That is almost half price even through online ordering from a discount tire store. Way I see it ...those tires are $189 online...and $205 around here......so he gave me $75-100 per tire for the Bridgestone Dueler HT and then cost me another $100 each to upgrade them to something trail worthy.

Great guys...great shop.

If you need new tires...or want to pick up some used tires to another purpose I would highly recommend FRANKIES TIRES on Cross County Road, North Charleston. They are right behind GENERATION XXX the adult sex store.

No I was not shopping while I waited for the tires...LOL

While I was there four or five dealership came in to have him fix tires or swap them out on cars for them.....

A little constructive criticism. How about change the font to the one used in the TOYOTA on the side apron emblem of early 40's. Add the state flag and go with a generic 40 outline like used on the Mud stickers.

Less is more sometimes....if you want I can see if my brothers artist can look at whatever is the final product and clean it up for transfer to tshirts or stickers....only a thought as he owns a large company (volume not size haha) and is right on James Island.

If you already got a source for shirts and stickers and bottle coozies...and such that is cool.

I would like the Lowcountry portion written in same style and font as Landcruiser is on the FJ40...that font and style would look good I think

Thanks for the recommendations on the logo. Here's the same logo on a SC flag blue background. A few comments:

1. I tried adding the palmetto and brassard, but the design gets too crowded.

2. If anyone can tell me what the correct font is from the LandCruiser emblem, (and I can find it without having to pay an arm and a leg) I'll gladly change it. I looked through about 1200 fonts that I have and didn't have one that really comes close.

3. Finally, if anyone wants the adobe illustrator files to play with and see what you (or a friend) can do, just pm me with a good e-mail address and I'll e-mail the file to you.

I look forward to seeing folks on the 19th.
