My '74 Pig had all lights working on Saturday night.

Tonight when I went to go home I noticed I had no lights on the instrument cluster or dash center panel.

My wife was driving behind me and called to say that I had brake lights, but no tail lights :frown:

Headlights worked fine, turn signals and reverse lights worked as well.

So this is a recent development and I wonder if it is related to being a rainy morning this morning.

I did not get a chance to check fuses when I got home.

Anyone have any pointers? Places to start?

Yep 1 fuse does tail/running and dash lights. When I was futzing with Cochon de Tere last week, I was futzing with the fuse panel to get all things working. IIRC the fuse that controls the running/tail and dash lights (at least on my 76) is the first fuse in the line up on the left (drivers side). Almost hidden behind the mounting bolt. Check to see if it's blown or just needing to have it's contacts cleaned.

What worse is....sometimes I think the rest of the herd gets jealous and fakes ailments when one of the siblings seems to be getting more attention than they are :hhmm:

even if the fuse isnt blown i'd replace it as they separate with age

Yep, I had that with that same fuse on the '55. My clue was that the fuse was slightly too long when compared with the rest. The fusible part was still intact.

What is the difference between SFE fuses and AGC fuses?

I found a SFE 14A in the glovebox of the 40.

The running lights for a Pig call for a 15A fuse and by size it looks like AGC type.

Any harm in trying a SFE rated one amp less?

I will get some 15's this weekend at the parts store...
