OK, I'll bite; How so?
First, my second post GLWS stands for Good Luck with sale.
Very widely used here on mud.

I have a few classified sections of mud marked watch because I’m interested in picking up something old and cool.
I have cash in hand for the right deal with about a 40k budget.

Was I truly interested I wouldn’t know as you didn’t post a price.
I do know the most important information in a for sale add is the price if you’re interested in getting it sold.

Did I post with a bunch of my cronies just to be right absolutely not.

Did some of the most knowledgeable 45 guys post to your add. YES but you didn’t recognize that.

No one here is interested in burning your post or feeling the need to be right.

In closing I will say a recently posted 45 sold in less than 4 hr. Largely due to the seller posting a price and it being a really cool truck being sold by a respected Mud member.

This is not the first place I posted this FS, here on the forum. It wound up here because I am not averse to taking suggestions from other members. And while you were the first to respond here, Apparently, I had already had my fill of complaints about there not being a price from the other two places it was posted. It was recently brought to my attention that I misinterpreted your statement, and after rereading it, I find they were correct.
I was deliberately dismissive. You have my apologies. You did not deserve that.
So now had to question my perception on all the other replies. I have reread all the of them. As far as the members who responded after that, for the most part, it is clear that they were not being helpful, regardless of how much knowledge they possess, what I recognized was antagonism, sarcasm and one guy's desire for anal penetration. And yes, I did see their barges. Coming from well-respected member or a new one, it is all the same.
I have been here for a while and am well aware of the wolf pack like stile members attack posts with. I have seen it many time over the years, mostly to FS posts, and I have never been a fan of it. Someone stated I was hostile here, but I assure you hostile for me is a much different level.
The part about them being your cronies was not a literal representation; it was my way of responding to them at the same time. I don't get an alert for every reply, so when I get here there are three or four. Instead of taking the time to address each one it is more applicable to address them in one.
Having a difference of opinion doesn't warrant attack. So, on that part of your statement, regarding needing to be right, I have to say we disagree.
For me, the most important thing is not how much I let this truck go for but who I let my truck go to. When I found this truck, it was not the price that interested me. This is the f'''ing coolest truck ever! And that's who I want to have all my years of effort. If you don't have that interest, if the price tag is the deciding factor, I don't see that as interested, and just being matter of fact here, I don't wanna sell that person my truck. and that is why I will not move on that.
I speak my mind, and sometimes I'm wrong. I fear being wrong less than being invisible to myself. One can always apologize when wrong.
If you think someone has gotten you wrong, don't wait so long to say something. The longer things draw out the harder it is to set things straight.
Good luck with your search.

What is the lift on the OME suspension, and do you have any photos of the rust in the bed? Would also like to see photos of the engine bay, interior, and frame if you have any.
Pretty sure it's a 4" lift but will make sure and PM you.
The rust on the bed is behind the wheel wells and along the taillight plate, on the right side. I'll PM pics as well.

I’m sure it was an oversight, but I did not see anything in your description to explain how the later model doors, windshield, etc came to be on a 1966 truck. Was the firewall changed as well to the later style that supported a brake booster from the factory. A picture of the engine bay would seem appropriate.

Actually, it was in the first version of this post and on my profile for a long time after I purchased it.
But I get the impression you already know that.

During my redo of this restore I found where the tub is welded. the previous owner denied it. I didn't understand till now, why it was.
You seem to know more about my truck than I do. Were you involved with Wimberly motors?

is that truly a 60's era fj45 cab as the description and title state?
any pictures of the door pillars that have the strikers? maybe the pillar mount was changed to the newer style striker to fit the newer door?
Is there a booster on the brakes? 64-66 era didn't have a booster.
is the hard top bolted down or does it have clips across the back?
And to help others i dug thru and found some close up pictures of your truck to help.
Not many pictures to assist in guessing on a price to help you out

Ty, I'm not asking for outside assistance, figuring out a price.
Seem's I'm still learning, even as I'm getting ready to sell it.
The guy who built it said the tub was original. That didn't fit with the welds at the bottom of the doors, but by the time I found them he was out of business. The last time I spoke with him I think dementia was setting in.
I have those pic, but after the winter the rust is worse, so I didn't post them and have made some video's for people who are interested.

I dont know why people are saying you dont have to post a price... i was always under the impression from woodyś classifieds rules that it was required... it prevents situations such as this... Our Illustrious leader says... (unless there is a rule #3 someplace for classifides) :meh:

Woody Rule #2:
Vehicles for sale are not posted for you to post chatty questions on them...have a valid question, post it.....but padding your post count will no longer be tolerated. Also, no reason to bump your thread multiple times a day, or week for that matter. People will see your add.... and those who consistently fail to abide by those rules will be barred from the sale corner of the forum.

Sale items should include:

Location (state/country/region)
Price
Contact info

Do not post buyer/seller recommendation info. Buy/sell at your own risk. Recommendation stuff goes to chat.

Woody Rule #1:
Just some quick notes, more will be added as they come up:

1: City/State information is critical for everything, sellers or seekers. Without that information, interested parties can't guesstimate shipping information!

2: Prices: Please put one down on sale items. We wish we were mind readers, but our first guess will be free :D

3: Make sure all parties are clear on what's included and what isn't...don't buy an intake and assume the carb is still attached!

4: No ebay links. Sell it here to other Land Cruiser people.

5: For sale/wanted items are not posted for you to chitchat, post s*** question on, play the bump game, or to post up in something you have no intention on purchasing....have a valid question, post it.....but padding your post count will no longer be tolerated, and those who consistently fail to abide by those rules will be barred from the sale corner of the forum.

6: Do not post buyer/seller recommendation info. Buy/sell at your own risk. Recommendation stuff goes to chat.

Entered all the rules in their entirety the new classifieds you cant unfortunately even find these
