Purchased in Texas, 2011, as a frame up restored 1966 FJ-45.
It is somewhat less than that,,, and way more at the same time.
It was undercoated in 2011, here on Long Island.
This is a modified FJ45 with a frame date of 1964 and originally registered in 1966, as a 66.
8 years into it I found rust pushing up from underneath body fill and learned just how much was covered instead of restored. After replacing the windshield frame everything but the tub and bed was removed, sandblasted, zinc coated and repainted before being reassembled. This was when I learned the windshield, doors, fenders and panels forward of the cab are later model FJ’s. As they are all interchangeable, only an experienced owner would notice the differences I was not aware of when I purchased it. However, all parts are Landcruiser, and upgrades from the originals.
All steal, no aluminum parts.
I personally did most of the work, 2016 – 2019, and I can answer most any questions you might have. It has been my college degree in land cruisers.
This Cruiser has a newly rebuilt 2-F engine (2025) mated to an H-55, 5 speed transmissions, and a 3” stainless steel exhaust.
There is a good 400 lbs. of roll cage, brush guard and bumpers which makes for a smooth highway ride. The suspension has been customized with an Old Man Emu 4" lift and front shackle reversal kit that makes off-roading a breeze. Attached is a Warn, 800lb winch. Disk upgrade to the front brakes, ARB hub locks as well as front and rear deferential lockers, and 33” tires.

Currently: the bed has some rust that will need to be addressed but it is an extremely roadworthy truck. Most of the mileage I put on it has been highway mileage. I use it for trips out of state and camped out of the back.
This is not a show truck. It is a use the f*** out of, have yourself a blast truck.
The truth is I don’t want to get rid of it, but I have gotten old and unable to keep up with or enjoy it. It needs a good home, and I need to get it done, so I figured I’d start here because all the work I have done, and everything about it has been documented here.
I have all kinds of spare parts, including another complete 2F, which can go with it or be sold separate.

If you are seriously interested, we can start a conversation and come up with a price.

How would anyone know if they were seriously interested without knowing the price.
It's not required to post a price but it sure is helpful !!

GLWS

SMH! Peace out!

A conversation comes before a price, period.
U don't like it; it's not for you. Move on.
If you think it's because it's overpriced; it's not for you. Move on.
If you can't figure out why a conversation comes before a price, this truck is not for you. Move on.
It's not rocket science, but if you can't figure it out, maybe you weren't meant too. Accept it and move on.

You posted that you were moving on but yet you needed to come back, posting your good intentions but unable to help yourself from pitching one last sarcastic remark.
I was hoping you are starting to get a clue.
Stop trying to reframe what has taken place here so that you and your cronies were not a''holes.
My post didn’t ask to be corrected. It was you’re assumption that it was wrong. It didn’t fit your structure. You weren’t interested in my truck, you were interested is fixing my post.
But that is not what the post was asking for. How about expanding your thinking, maybe there's a reason adding a price is not a rule?
This is all about you needing to know it all and berate me for not acquiescing.
Helpful, yeah in igniting a fire to burn my post.
Something y'all can be real proud of.

@Broski first comment was definitely polite enough. The fact that you got triggered instead of just ignoring it or giving a quick reason is what brought this thread down.

Honestly, he is right about posting a price though. I'd be interested if it was in the sub $15k range but I really don't want to waste your time or mine. So I'll move on.

You’re right on one account, I couldn’t help poking the Bear one more time.
But your absolutely wrong on every other aspect.

Have you read the original post he responded to?
My response was matter of fact by identifying that interest has nothing to do with price, and apparently, I was correct, according to his most recent post where he stated he was trying to be helpful. Not that he was interested in the truck. But I see your point. I have been her for a while and have seen the rhetoric from people who just need to comment on posts. And I have no idea what the acronym of his second post meant.
I honestly don't think I got triggered till the post's that came after, but I can't alway see everything.
Thanks for the incite. sarcastic comment was not required to make your point and ignored.
