Sorry all, was away on vacation the past week with no internet.

I will call the park this week to get details.

Cool, hopefully their camping areas are setup.

I'm very interested. By the time I bought my FJ60 last year and found out about the local forum, I had just missed your meet. Chris

I just called the park and got the details.

-They will be open Sept 20
-There is no camping in the park
-The full-size trails are abundant, but they are not marked in any way so finding them is a challenge. There IS a good map, it just does not differentiate between ATV and full size vehicle trails.

They recommend camping at Earth Day campground

I have been told by a buddy who has been to the campground that it is pretty nice - depending on what you like. There are only porta-potties like Rausch, and you would have a tough time getting a car up the road into the campground. There are no showers, pool, store or anything.

There are a few hotels within 20 minutes that offer reduced rates for the park.

I am thinking that we meet at the park around 9:30 on Saturday for those who want to wheel, and that evening we meet up at the campground and have a BBQ.

Thoughts?

I made it up to Cruiser Solutions in New Hampshire last Friday while visiting with friends in Boston. I was strongly advised to put as few miles on my 60 as possible until I have carb issues and the leaking seals taken care of. So I won't make it this year. Here are a few pictures that I snagged while there...

It actually has a Weber on it now which Cruiser Solutions is saying is the problem. They strongly recommend not using the Weber and sticking with OEM.

I ask that anyone interested send me an email at andy-at-thezooks-dot-net so I can get an official head count.

Details:
Sept 20 @ Anthracite
Wheeling the day of the 20th (meet @ 9:30 ish)
Primitive Camping @ Earth Day Campground the night of the 20th - perhaps with a potluck dinner if everyone is into that....

Please specify if you would attend the wheeling, the camping or both so I can plan accordingly.

Thank you,
Andy

I have run nothing but Jim C rebuilt carbs on all my land cruisers. Never ever had a problem with any of them. Can't be beat in my opinion. Having said that, I have had several land cruisers with Weber carbs that ran well. In fact a 73 that we recently sold with an F engine and weber carb had more pep than any of my other cruisers. Bottom line, if you have a good Weber it's fine. if you have a good Aisin carb it's fine.

And, I'll be there the 20th. Been years since I wheeled under the Appalachian land cruiser banner! Gary S

Thanks Gary! Andy is going to try to help me figure out the gas in the oil issue next week (which I'm incredibly appreciative for his willingness to help out!). Still not sure if I'll make it on the 20th... Chris

Hello Everybody - I just bought an 89 FJ 62 - its my dream car for quite a while - I am in Lewisburg PA - work at Bucknell - I am new to all this - anybody close to me that is familiar with 62s that would be willing to meet up with me (i can drive ) to talk a look at the rig ?

Any process I need to follow to sign up to the "clubhouse" here in PA ?
