life time warranty on the in ground components including any and all labour.
25 years on the in house/shop parts and labour...

10 years at last years prices of fuel, 2 years on next years fuel price to break even...

That's great! Quite an improvement over just a few years ago! I wonder if there is such a grant program in Québec?

$5.19/gal in Mckinleyville CA on Friday, May 23.

1.43 a litre in Vernon BC

$1.65 a litre in Montreal today, according to the evening news. That's US$ 6.30 a gallon for you Americans

I have the feeling once the election time rolls around in the US that prices will stabilize or drop there. Same will probably happen here. Once the elections are over diesel prices will keep on heading North. The industry is not stupid. They can fix prices themselves in order to make sure their industry does not become the lead election issue.

The irony is that the cost of diesel if anything is is a national security issue as it impacts the whole of a country's economy. My wife and I already talked about it. This year we will be doing more canning and freezing to keep costs down becuase food is going to be very expensive come January 2009 - especially food that has to be trucked from Mexcio or the Southern US.

Whoa! Sounds grim! But you're right - I'll be reinsulating the house where the air escapes and try to secure a supply of WVO before it becomes impossible to get!

Just make a quick google search on the terms "oil prices recession global depression"... Scary!!!

A recession of global dimensions? - Jan. 22, 2008

The Second Great Depression - Is the US Headed Towards the Second Great Depression

That was writing a few years ago... They were predicting a recession once oil reached $90 a barrel!!! We're at $150 now!!!
When will high oil prices trigger a depression?

PM - Oil prices could cause global recession

Woody, if this is getting to become chat, do what you have to!!!

$1.47/L today in Port Elgin...

347 km with 34L 'filled to the brim' fill...5 tank of fuel with those numbers best was 477 km with a 42L 'fill to the brim' and the worst was 428km with a 46L 'fill to the brim' so all in all i am happy.

I paid $1.74AU/L down here in Aus the other day. Seriously considering getting a gasser, any mileage benefit is well lost in the $0.30AU difference between petrol and diesel.

Dammit but i do love a diesel. =P

Edit: That's about $1.65CAN/L...

the wifes gasser Mits RVR is pulling in 540 km to a 48L fill (31.7 mpg) and gas is $1.27 yesterday. not bad for a full time 4wd wagon. this has been a close constant for the last 6000 km, winter and summer.

the gasser celica rag top is doing 574 km on a 49L fill (32.8 mpg) over the last 2000+ km.

the isuzu diesel elf is 420 km on a 40L fill over the last 5 tanks of fuel. not bad for a 2 ton dually 4 door.

93 Mazda B2200 (last of the true Mazda trucks). Dad is averaging 39 (thirty-nine) mpg ever since i gave him the truck in 98, the best i ever got was 29 but he seldom goes over 1800 rpm and i never would have beleived unless i saw it personally.

i LIKE diesel, i LIKE gasser so really i do not care which i drive... what i do care is that i ENJOY what ever ride i am driving...

On my way back from a 4,000 drive 2 weeks ago in my HJ41.... Several spots on US I40 in New Mexico: $4.07/ US Gallon.

The **MOST** expensive spot : Wentworth Springs, Ca : $5.70/ gallon. This was actually well worth it since it was the only station that was operative for 300 miles during my drive through Death Valley. The few towns along the way had no electricity (ie: no fuel pumps)!

With virtualy the same price ( gas vs diesel ) or a little expensive Diesel here it's more less the same Sh*** the real issue it's you get less km/g with a gasser that you can get from a diesel, coz simple .. the diesel runs at lower rpm ..

Diesel here in Vancouver B.C. Canada was 1.47/ l yesterday May 29

I paid 1.47 a litre in Prince George, then started towards Smithers and an hour west it was 1.39 in Vanderhoof. I find diesel prices vary heavily between stations and are not competitive like gas stations in pricing, where as they compete for the business and are all a fraction of cent different. Diesel can be 5 cents different.

dad filled the Pajero for $1.47 in Port Elgin
i filled the van for $1.40 in chesley ($146, damn that hing has a huge tank, i still had a 1/4 tank left!!)
pays to shop around!!
the stations were 15 min apart...

$1.560 north or Montreal
$1.399 in Khanawake just south of Montreal

That a FIFTEEN CENT difference...

Also remember, we actually refine the stuff here in Montreal. So when peeps tell me it's because we don't produce oil I tell them, bull****, more than 45% of the cost is taxes, how else can you explain that the same stuff transported by truck and sold to our cousins down south in New England is a full 20% cheaper?
