I do want to thank everyone who chimed in here to help this 70 series newbie. I very much appreciate it and will be back with another 70 at some point. This trade was kismet for both of us - couldn't pass it up.

Cheers to all!

Noun. kis·met ˈkiz-ˌmet -mət. variants or Kismet. Synonyms of kismet. : a hypothetical force or personified power that determines the course of the future events : fate, destiny.

Someone has a word of the day calendar 😎

Excited to see this one in person, @shellb and I are only about 40mins away and plan to grab a beer talk cruisers.

So, what happened: Todd sold to Brett? Or a trade? I’m so out of the loop now.
Trade - I got this junker. 1975 with 52,000 miles on it, very original with a few bobbles here and there.

The torch has been passed, super fun rig! She and I will be well acquainted by next week!
National Luna fridge reunites with the Cruiser.
Soon! Unfortunately, there wasn’t an easy (inexpensive) way to get it out West, so it is patiently waiting in TN!

Old school cooler and sloshing ice for now!

Where will this one live?

Thought she should visit a few relatives while on this side of the Continental Divide!

The 73 is back in Knoxville after a week long journey through Colorado and Utah covering over 1600 KM’ s!

She averaged a bit over 16 Miles per gallon corrected for tire size etc., I got excited for a moment and then I remembered Diesel is about 25% more expensive than gas and I am probably back to my customary 13 MPG gas Land Cruiser range from a cost comparison perspective!

I drive my 40 most days so the speed (or lack of) didn’t require much adjustment for my style, yeah going up each pass I rode the slow lane, but had power remaining to pull into the center lane and pass the really slow big trucks.

When folks pass they just give you thumbs up and wish they didn’t have to drive such a boring car and weren’t in such a hurry!

I am pretty pleased with the truck, it is very Land Cruiser!
