Ordered up all the seals and gaskets I plan to change last night. Rear main, timing cover, valve covers and a few other small bits. I also ordered the accessory belt tensioner and 1gen Cummins engine mounts. Got it all from rock auto at 1/4 the price I could get anything locally.

Don't you love Rock Auto? I use them all the time.

Yeah they are great! They where even better when the Canadian dollar was at par. Now it's costing me $1.34cnd per every USD. Even still it's far cheaper than locally sourced parts.

Got notification that the accessory parts I got from diesel specialists (cummins) have arrived. Just need to head down and pick them up from my US mailbox. I picked up the upper alternator braket yesterday that works with the 6bt water outlet and the 22si alternator. The parts pile is starting to slowly grow.

Love Rock Auto, just ordered extended brake lines, all napa branded for close out prices!

So lots of pages and no pictures......

Here are the Cummins parts needed to move the AC compressor above the water inlet on the 6/4bt. It does not allow the re use of the Dodge alternator or AC compressor (good thing in my books) and instead uses a GM style 22si alternator that can be had cheap with up to 250amp outputs. For AC it uses a medium duty truck (sterling or ford) Sanden AC compressor.

The top curved braket I got off a guy on 4btswaps he makes them and they are high quality made out of 3/8". You can get one form Cummins but it does not allow the use on the Dodge water outlet.

Here is the link to the most detailed thread I have been able to find on the F800 mount. The thread starter is the one that makes the alternator braket.

High Mount AC

Here are the part numbers for the Cummins bits.

I will need to make a water inlet, it will be easy I just did not want to use the straight Cummins one as it's made for 2" hoses. I want to make mine to accept a hose that matches the Toyota rad.

I also have not got the belt tensioner braket it's essentially a 3/8" plate that I think I can make easily. If not it's cheap from Cummins.

There is also a few bolts I need to get to attach this all but I have a good high quality bolt supplier close by so will get them there. Cummins has them they are just $$.

I'll try and get this mocked up on the block in the next few weeks. I'm working through the holidays so do not have a lot of free time.

Here is a pic of the tensioner bracket

Yes I got them from the same guy. Pretty straight forward on both brackets. I'm going to powder coat them next and make them shine [emoji38]

I plan to do the same.......shine in a semi gloss black.

Though you where doing the diesel adapters kit?

Using the bellhousing and eventually my reworked harness and compushift controller. I have the accessory brackets he made I just really don't want the headache I think that will come with running them... Honestly I'm not even using his motor mounts I'm fabricating my own using the dodge mounts and brackets.

Nice I ordered a set of 1st Gen engine isolators I'm hoping to use them with my OEM brakets welded back on the frame side and a new engine side braket.

Honestly the best mounts are the 2nd gen or 3rd gen.

Looking at the photo of the mount and gasket I think Dustin's mount uses the same gasket.
I still think you are going the correct route using all Cummins parts. Makes for easier fixes down the road.

I'm sure his uses the same water inlet gasket. The block if I remember right is machine for the gasket to slip into. It's a great way to seal it up.....and factory.

After looking at these mounts there will be no issues with it. It's so over built it's crazy, the one lower section is 15lbs alone.

My only worry going this way is the alternator and it's positioning. It's level with the valve cover in hight and sticks quite a bit out the side of the engine. Worried it's going to be into the battery box on that side. No way to know for sure till it's in the truck.
