If I remember right I got this at Home Depot.
Thank you.

I am having the same battery dilemma l. My 31M DHP carked it, and I threw my 34M DHP backup battery into my other 80. I think I am going to get two interstate 27/27f they ate about 800 CCA.

If you run a 3rd house battery in the back, where would you plan to mount it? Mixing flooded cell and AGM may be problematic from a charging standpoint unless you isolate them when performing maintenance charging cycles.

Well one week of driving down and no issues with the engine or swap. The battery decided it had had enough when I was at the border wicket. Took 4 US border guards to puss me though to secondary inspection where they all went over the engine swap. They were all impressed and got me going with a jump from one of there trucks.

Took it down to my parents beach's idea property for the weekend to try out the RTT and help my father replace a fridge condenser on his RV. Great time, my 1 year old some is still too young to get settled in the RTT so my wife and him slept in the house while dad got a penthouse on the top of the truck all to him self.

400kms total now and a half tank.

This just settled my internal fight between the 6BT and Vortec, Cummins it is!

Now you really should change that sig and forget about the 4BD1T!

I just found this thread last night. Needless to say, I couldn't stop reading! This is awesome stuff! I envy your mechanical ability and tools! I would love to see this machine up close!

Thank you, if you are near by let me know you can check it out.

Today I worked on the truck a bit, I got two reman interstate econo power threaded post Group 31 batteries for the truck $40 each I can't complain. Will allow me to make sure everything else it working right before dumping a large amount of money into batteries. Spent most the day making them fit, nice part now is if I need cranking power I have lots 2000cca ;)

Also got my koso temp guage working again. Want to monitor engine temp for the summer so I know it's solid then I will remove it.

My factory 5spd console and boot arrived but I was at the shop so missed him Ill pick it up tomorrow and see how it fits.

Also need to get the E- brake working, was going to do it today but the forecast was for rain...... Did not rain.

You should know better that to trust the weatherman.

I should, he is calling for thunderstorms tomorrow so I'll for sure get the e- brake fixed. This is only an issues becouse I can't fit the truck in the garage with the RTT on :(

I am reading that plenty of people run ATF on the 6BT PS pump without issue...I am going to stick with ATF as that is what is still in the steering box.

At was my reason, I still had ATF in the box. If now. One is having issues with it I'll stick with ATF as well.

I am running PS fluid only because thats what was in there post swap. Since there is no ATF fluid anywhere else in the truck I haven't really thought about switching.

So a bit of an update, been driving it every chance I can get. It really only works out to two time a week but it's going great. No issues so far. I was able to get the tach working with a different two wire sensor.

I have put almost 100kms on it. Last tank was right at 12.2L/100kms (19.5 mpg) it was mostly hwy tank I did do a few local mountain passes and a bit of stop and go city as well but would say that tank was 75-80% hwy I had the rtt on the entire time too. I cruise at 100kms/hr comfortable at about 1950rpm. I have gobs of power to pass I have had it up to 150kms/hr with little effort. It's still stock pump tune and I have zero visable smoke out the tail pipe at all times. Peak boost has been 16psi and 980f pre turbo up a pass called the "coke" or "the smasher" if you have watched "highway through hell" the TV show.

I have had a few drips on the driveway out of the road draft crank case breather so I'm looking at a few options for recirculating or at least collecting what comes out so I can control where the drips go. Other than that zero leaks or drops of any kind.

I had it off road for my 1 year old son and mines first solo father son off road trip. It was only a half day but hope to make it an annual father's day/ weekend tradition. He seemed to love it, the big diesel sure puts him to sleep fast right now. I did not need low range at all 1st gear the thing just idles over everything in its path it's quite an adjustment to wheeling with a auto and a gas engine. In low range (marlin 3:1) this thing will be rediculouse.

That is all for now, got a few things I need to work on overy the next month so I will post those up as then happen.

Jeremy, are you still running 315's and 4.10 gears? Those RPM's seem very reasonable, right in the sweet spot of the powerband.

Yes I am still running the 315's it seems ok but this engine feels like it would be happier ay 1700rpm. It's defiantly got power all over, the bulk of it is 1000-2000rpm in its stock tune. I may play with the timing a bit to move the power band up a bit, at the moment above 2500rpm it's not doing much.

Yes sorry 100kms not 100kms.
