Sitting across from my 4Runner tonight at Costco, brand new full Emu kit on it. Also here's mine as she sits now sans roof rack system.

you know.... in my thinking creatively about how to build a more, er, appropriately Landcruiser-esque Powerful ....luggage roof-rack.... I keep coming back to the inherent weaknesses of mounting with clips to the roof lips along the sides.....but, that's simple & with the right hardware maybe still fine....

the question has always been *how much* can the roof lips take through the roof rack for weight, strain, yada-yada....

THANK YOU! You've given me insight.... one question: will the man be riding along-top to keep the luggage & tie-down line taught?

LOL.

PS - I didn't see a goat. Is a goat on the Tie-Down Man's shoulders? The goat makes all the difference.
