Racer sent me a notice last night about the lights being available so I paid through PayPal as requested last night and received a notice this morning he had presented them to FedEx for delivery. Now that is SPEEDY service. Thanks Racer!

Yep.

Nice product at a fair price, great service as well. Racer is providing some pretty cool products that are filling some gaps in the Cruiser supply chain. Ordered the LED headlights and the replacement fuse block. Lights are installed and my only issue was having to clean the high beam contact in the steering column. This is a result of low amp draw for the LEDs. Points file and back in business.
Thanks Racer for getting these out there. LED 1.webp LED 2.webp LED 3.webp

Hi Mike. The lights are sold out again, but I will contact you for the next batch. Should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Sounds good. Thanks!

Update on the super bright LED's for all of my others besides the head lights, the led's for the gauge cluster was a waste of money ,green, blue, and white. Very dim! Will be going back to the originals for the dash. All exterior LED's were awesome.

Be sure to take some before and after photos of the gauge cluster lights? I'd be interested in the lighting difference between the two different bulbs you installed. Also, what are the part numbers for the LED's you are not happy with?

My new headlamps are in and whiter/brighter than the Hella H4's I was using. No yellowish cast in the light.

I had assumed without asking that the body of these lamps was made of a polycarbonate (plastic), but instead they're cast aluminum.

Racer 65.. Any chance that you could develop and led kit ??? Offer all the led bulbs at one source,It would make life much easier knowing that you can buy it and it will all work .

If you want really great gauge lighting you should go with EL wire. It illuminates the gauges very evenly and brightly and the dimmer works on it.

Only drawback is the high pitched whine. Can't really hear it when car is running since these cruisers are so loud. I'm going to see about moving the inverter to inside the engine bay and put it inside a small insulated box to see if that will help. A lot of people don't even hear the whine apparently. You can do a test to see if you can hear it before installing. Connect inverter to a wall wart to power it up. Also I have seen videos on YouTube that have the sound recorded. You could play it and see if you can hear it.

Bought this diecast aluminum Hammond box - it supposed to help with shielding. I'll put the EL wire inverter inside this and mount it inside the engine bay. Paint it freeborn red and should blend in nicely.

Just did a little homework on EL wire, since it acts close to neon does it produce alot of heat? How does power consumption compare to LED's? Or incandescent lamps?
