Htown,

Good idea on the 4bt, I was really close to going that way, but after looking for a clean 4bt for a couple months, I was kind of discouraged and decided to take the pig another direction.

The short story on the pig, was that it was built over a period of 3 years, before it was completely finished, I needed to sell it due to some personal things in my life. I sold it to Geobeler and he with some help from Gumby on here finished a lot of the smaller nagging problems.

Geobeler was awesome enough to sell it back to me, last week and now it is heading out to Colorado, because I am moving.

There is still a little work to be done, and I will be ducumenting it as I go.

Thanks,
Ryan.

This pig is what i am modeling mine after. I've got a 4bt t400 into np 203,205 doubler. I would love to run into you on the trail someday. What's the story on this rig? I no it was built and sold then gone off the scene for a while. Did you get it, are you the builder? Do you have a facebook acct i've got build pic of mine there.

My buddy and I head up to Co alot for Texans. I'll be out on the trails hope to see ya out there. Please if you can, some more youtube videos would be cool. i've watch your test run video thousands of times.Ill post some build pic of mine soon, it's getting painted now. I built my sliders just like your thanks for sharing your ideas.

Ryan will hopefully fine tune the 55 for me and do a few years of test runs so I can buy it back...

The thing is beyond well built. I can now say that cause I won't be boasting. Ryan built the sh-t out of the thing and it is by far one of the coolest 55's I have ever seen. Bumming that it isn't in the garage anymore, but knew it was the right thing to do. Ryan sold it when he needed to. I knew he would one day want it back. That day came and it is now his again. I hope to meet out west and play for a bit when the 55 is there.

I will be back to lurking in the 55 section til' the day comes that I grab another well build rig...

I will be lurking now in the 45 section til' Gumby finishes my 45 lv.

All the best Ryan and enjoy your rig!

Goebs

That's what I like about Cruiser heads, We do the right thing even when it hurts. That pig has brought good days and bad days to you two guys. I hope I never have to part with mine.

This is a way cool story!

Ryan, I had some friends who lived in the Breakers (this was a few years ago) but it seemed very "managed". I.E. if you are blipping the Pig throttle in the parking lot, you will get a very impersonal note from an impotent/sterile property manager in your mailbox...

Where will you be working in Denver?

I look forward to meeting you and your Pig.

BTW, the Rising Sun crew is an outstanding Cruiser club!

Thanks Pablo!

I had to find a place to rent site unseen and The Breakers seemed to fit a lot of my requirements. I do get the impression that they are very managed. But I really just needed a place to land for a while so that I could feel out the Denver area and see where I wanted to buy. :-)

I will be working on Buckley AFB in Aurora. I am getting more and more excited about this move the closer it gets! I can't wait to get out there and wheel and hopefully get back into mountain biking.

I will have to make it to some of the Rising Sun meetings!
Ryan.

@scottryana - trying to remember if you still have this Pig?
I went looking for your original build thread (before you sold it and then bought it back), but cannot find...
Wanting to see some detail on putting that 4.7 in a Pig
You are not in Denver anymore, eh?

No, not in Denver anymore. I left Denver in 2010, went to Texas until 2014, then to Moab Utah until May and am now back in VA. I sold the truck to a wealthy family that has some kind of cruiser museum that will no longer return my calls or emails to buy it back for a second time. lol.

Oh @npulver I forgot that the front FZJ80 axle because of the factory steering and steering arms under the knuckle I needed to have a custom high steer made. It was done by OTT but they don't touch the 80 stuff anymore they said it was too time consuming so you would need to go with a hellfire setup.

Did Imogene with my first Pig and have done Engineer numerous times in various vehicles, ranging from a bone stock '49 Jeep to a full size Blazer. Have done both Schofield and Taylor in the current Pig. Seems there's enough of us in CO to start planning a Pig run sometime.

That would be outstanding! My goals for this summer include changing out the gas thank and getting AC working, but I will keep an eye out for developments of this idea!
