Agreed... I guessing that why he suggested 45 sec cleaning, and follow up with conditioner ASAP.

I use alcohol very sparingly, to remove ink spot. Alcohols' & ethanol's dry out and crack leather, vinyl and rubber.

I just pulled Ingredients:

Isobutane 000075-28-5 3.0-7.0

It is but you always want to try it on a hidden area first to make sure your part isn't going to fade! Our shop mostly used it on carpets tho!

I picked up my Drivers seat.. and steering wheel cover today..

The leather is a nice match for the OEM wheel leather.

i could use those, any ideas of the source?

Just jumping in as well... What's the shop name? Im here in ATX as well and looking for a solid source for upholstery for LC and other projects

Also interested in pricing for the leather seats! I have an Oak interior, and I believe "Ivory" leather? I want to redo the steering wheel as well, but I really want All of the original leather to be Completely covered, not those 4 posts still visible. I'm ready to purchase now!

This shop is not in Austin, and not really a shop, but one of my wholesale manufacturers I've been dealing with to find "close as possible" replacement covers for my personal truck. Currently, the wholesale cost of the hide we sourced is $300 each, and then matching Ultraleather was purchased too. Just material alone Iam already into this project for $600 ish dollars.

As for the steering wheel, I really wanted the four spokes covered, so we are still working on that.

We are still crunching numbers to see how many hides he would need to buy to get the purchase price down. And he has not really giving me a firm price yet on labor to create the covers.

I'd be very interested in a price for a set of front seat covers if the LC tan is the same as the '00 LX470 tan. Any update on this?

Watching this thread and interested in getting in on this deal for fronts, center con, and steering wheel. I'm in DFW and can get to ATX, no problem.

Interested in front covers for 04 LX.

A few weeks ago I started to shop around for replacement covers for my front seats. I ordered some samples from LSeats.com, and took them to my upholstery shop I do a lot of wholesale business with, and wanted to share my findings. My intention was to order kits, and have him install them.

He took a look at them samples I brought and said he could do better. He has an OEM supplier out of Detroit, and was sure he could find a OEM match. He asked for my passenger seat, console lid. and told me to give him a week.

This is what he surprised me with a week later:View attachment 1358527

I told him the headrest did not match. I had just had the truck detailed, the seats are clean...
He said no! and took off the head rest and gave it a proper cleaning. Now it matches great!

Usually, they don't recover the head rests, they hardly get wear, and ar a pain to recover.

I asked him what he used, Just Tuff-Stuff and Leather conditioner. He cleaned a spot on my back seat to show me.
They use this on everything, spray on, let sit for about 45 seconds, then scrub with stuff brush and wipe off.
