Whoa! Amazing trip! Is that Big Bend I spy?
Yup. I swing by Big Bend NP and camped for a night in the remote camping spot. I camped in a spot overlooking Rio Grande River. It was wild.

Just arrived home this morning. 17.5 days with 7889 miles travelled.

We were in Moab after the LCDC too. Wish I realized you were going to be there at the same time.

You beat me by a few hundred miles. My odometer says 7354, which is ~7720 after adjusting for tire size. 8.4 MPG average, but I had the trailer in tow for ~3/4 of the mileage.

I wished I knew my plan for Moab. Most of the planning is on-the-fly or no planning. My buddy from SC is around Ouray when we meet up. We run Imogene on Sunday (after LCDC) then Monday morning, we decide to head down to Moab and run Top of the World Trail. We end up staying 2 nights in Moab because his rig driveshalf bang up and need a quick fix.

I run into @benc at Imogene, Telluride, Silverton and Moab after LCDC. I think @indycole recommend Brown Dog Pizza. It was awesome pizza.

Heh, I saw you airing down at the gravel lot by Camp Bird on our way out of town. I'm jealous... totally want to do TotW sometime. We did Fins N Things on Sunday after getting to Moab, the kids got all excited about doing it after @laserturbo91 said it was like a roller coaster and we had to do it. I had to lead two stock Jeep's out of the first section because they couldn't find the right lines... haha. Monday was rafting and Tuesday/Wednesday we did White Rim, which was a blast, then left Thursday to come back.

We just got home! ~7k miles total for the trip. We took detour through NE, SD, MN, WI, then straight to Mass on I-90.

Huge thank you again to the organizers for making this event happen! And to the entire crew for their patience and help on Friday's little-longer-than-planned Alpine Loop run with Aaron. That was certainly quite an adventure to remember and I am amazed how my low riding 200 did so well and without any damage on Mineral Creek.

I will post some pictures soon, including the group pictures I took on Thu & Fri.

Again awesome event and I hope to participate next year!
Glad to hear you made it home and that you did not damage your truck on that last section out! We got a few trail memories getting down with the rain.

Got email about uploading photo for LCDC. I’m starting to upload video/photos to the share folder. I’m creating a new folder and upload to the folder. This can prevent photo with similar name overwriting by other user.

Yup, that’s me & my buddy. He is riding a SAS’ed Toyota Sequoia. After that run, I’m now can say I’ve completed Imogene from both side. I can lead a group for future LCDC on Imogene.

Will that share with the photos be shared with those that were not at the event? Love looking through the pictures you guys have posted so far

I wish I had the forum names for everyone who wheeled with me in Ouray. Not sure if there's an Excel file somewhere with forum name and real name (or at least first name), vehicle color, state, and which trails people ran. Failing that I'm going to just toss some photos I've pulled off the Nikon up here and I can edit posts if someone knows the usernames.

Geoff and his family take some great photos. This is exactly why (after last year) I pledged to do all my runs this year with Geoff... then I forgot! Great shots and I'm sure they are just the tip of the iceberg. Next year!

Thanks Matt. I love photography but since I drive my kids end up taking 90% of the photos now, so much of the credit goes to them. I just get the fun post-processing work 🙃

I'll get some more photos for ya at LCDC 8

We got back last weekend. What a great LCDC. Thank you to all the organizers! We ended up on a 5000 mile loop through Utah and Idaho then over to Glacier NP and Yellowstone NP.

This was my favorite picture of the trip.

Also...Met a few of these guys along the way.

Did you and the family enjoy it?!
Oh yeah it was a blast. it’s funny, my daughter hates the long road trips and sleeping in the camper near her brothers, but as soon as there’s a 4WD trail she’s all-in.

I ended up leading two stock Jeep’s through the first section as they couldn’t find the right lines and were struggling.

There were a couple obstacles I wish my son would’ve gotten out to take pics of before I went through them. Guess i need to go back soon, eh?

We just miss each other by a few hour at Jackson WY/Yellowstone NP.

I was camping in the Grand Teton area the day before entering Yellowstone.

The Black Bear Pass shots everyone loves...
