What's the min wheel bore size needed to clear the hubs?

I just received my kit and hope to install it ASAP. The 80/100 series part time kit installation video from 4WD Shed and the FSM will be my primary guides, but they leave me with a couple questions. What is this plastic spacer that comes with the kit? It looks like it installs on the back of the spool? Why did my kit come with a tube of FIPG sealant and a tube of Permatex gasket sealant? Has anyone done a write up for this particular kit?

FIPG is for resealing your t-case after installing the Spool i believe the permatex is in there as an option for t-case as well. i don't remember the plastic spacer off the top of my head.

the Hub install is very straight forward:
- pull tires
-pull drive flanges
- remove the dial plate
-install hub gasket and hub body
- install CV C-Clip
- install gasket/spacer/ gasket/dial face
- install tires

at this point you can drive in 2wd with the hubs unlocked and the center diff locked, CV's will be powered but decoupled from the tires with the hubs unlocked.

- the FSM will be your guide for the t-case, I recommend pulling the t-case and doing it on the bench.

The spool should have a set of instructions that cover the plastic spacer and sealant. Is it not in your box? If not, shoot an email to Cruiser Outfitters and they'll quickly email you a set.

Got the instructions! Thanks for the help!

Glad to hear we got it all taken care of. Holler if you have any additional questions.

Part time kit is awesome. Zero clunk and handling especially with Supercharger torque steer is much better on road. Hubs are the best part... 😎

I never even thought to cut the center out of the stock hub cover.
That's what that is, correct?

thanks

Had a question - I was looking at a cruiser that had this installed but was just curious:

If I wanted to return the T case to its stock configuration and the PO did not keep the parts, what parts are required and are they available to purchase from Toyota or is it all part of the assembly?

Is it just this block of parts?

We have these available @ Cruiser Outfitters. Info@cruiseroutfitters.com for info.

Correct. With the custom gear one would install the hub/spool in the T-case and bolt on the hubs at the front. Hoping to offer the complete kit in the $650 range. That's a t-case spool, two AISIN hubs with the chromoly inner gear and gaskets, axle clips, etc.
At this price point I would definitely prioritize putting this kit on my 100 series. It’s lifted, locked, re-geared, etc. less wear on front axles when not Offroad would be welcome. For my Wife’s relatively stock LX470 she loves the point and shoot aspect of Awd all the time...

The spool install is pretty straight forward. How much more involved to install the 10% underdrive gears a the same time? Still a DIY job or any special tools needed or recommended parts while the T-case is open? Might as well kill 2 birds.

Still DIY but certainly deeper into the case. You'll need to be comfortable with measuring the shim thicknesses.

We can also ship out a brand new case with high range and/or low range and the part-time case installed 😎

That is beautiful. What’s the ballpark on a new setup like that with all the goodies and the full part time kit (hubs)?

$5000, that's a 100% new parts in the t-case, new hubs, geared, etc.
