@RemyRunner Is the truck gas or diesel? The diesel JDM trucks have a slightly different CAN Bus implementation. I would try to find some confirmation that the screen will work specifically with a JDM diesel.

I've got a 2004 diesel coming from Japan right now as well, hoping to confirm that it'll work.

It is the 4.7L gas.

I am in limbo right now as I don't know everything about all the options it has, other than what was provided on spec sheet from the auction. The broker I used is arranging for more detailed photos for me and am looking to get as many toys as possible now so that when it arrives, I can start installing before the dead of winter hits and it is too cold in the garage to work on it.

Got the winter tires and rims ready to go, summer rims on order and suspension...not sure yet if it is AHC or plain old shocks and coils.

Too bad, I was hoping you'd be a guinea pig for me.

Being a gasser, I think you're unlikely to run into issues, as tons of people have installed them

Yeah, I would think that it would be fine...famous last words...I mean, it is a computer and they sell these things around the world so they must have the ability to decode/translate in and to multiple languages.

I think I will just give in to my impatience and order it and install it and see what happens. Watched a few videos on how to do it so can probably get it to work with luck and a helluva of lot swearing.

Long time lurker, first post. I got my 2007 LX470 a couple weeks ago. Now to upgrade the nav. Thanks to all for this great resource!

First I bought from Phoenix (4/64 android 9), they are OOS and offered me an open box at discount.

Next I submitted an order to ZWNAV on Aliexpress. Immediately I received a message from the seller requesting $40 for "upgraded duty free logistics" (I refused). A week later I asked for tracking, they said the package was "being dismantled by customs." Again I asked for tracking, they said the radio is in their warehouse. But they cannot send me the wood trim pieces unless I send another $40. When I refused, they said send $100 today and they will ship the radio and refund it in a few days. NOT buy from ZWNAV on Aliexpress or elsewhere!

Finally I contacted a few different sellers on Aliexpress and got good response from Autojeta. They claim all new head units are android 11, they will support android 12 with updates when it is done. So I'm trying one of their T500 units, android 11, 8/128gb.

I baselined the fluids and took her off Cupertino pavement for the first time in 146k miles. In 2 weeks we head for an open-ended trip to Utah. Wish me luck! I'll post updates if/when the radio arrives.

Let us know how your Android 11 install goes when you get it. I still can’t get the AC on mine working. Password is 8888 to get into Factory Settings in Settings to select car for canbus.

Update: My radio came from Autojeta. Turns out it’s android 12, 8/128gb. I didn’t have any major problems installing. I just kept literally plugging away until there weren’t any left. I got a message from the seller anticipating I may have installation/setting questions—and giving me a phone number for their engineer. We will see what they know!

The major items seem to work—ac/heat controls, radio. I didn’t check to see what canbus settings it’s using, I’ll look tomorrow. Still tons of items to work at—cameras, settings, component upgrades, etc.

Nice. Do you have any faceplate image from your HU? just curious about the button arrangement.

Possible to see photos? Still functioning well?

The alternate screen advertised for the pre-03 Nav has arrived! It arrived fully intact but with no directions as usual.

It looks great! The only drawback is that the silver knobs can’t be swapped out for black ones that match the stock aesthetic.

Hopefully I can make some time to install it and test it out this upcoming weekend.

That looks fantastic! Can't wait to see what the software looks like

Can anyone tell me how to access the backup camera? I have the yellow camera cable, but I'm honestly not sure where to find the app that shows the camera.

Sorry to leave y’all hanging, I’m in SW Utah having the time of my life. Bearings, brakes, ahc pressures, wheeling, and breaking have kept me busy. PX6 is working but I have multiple issues I’ve barely researched. Airbag light, no rear ac on/off control, steering controls need personalization (siri?), buggy CarPlay/Wi-Fi/hotspot integration, some apps are slow, the interface isn’t very smooth (google maps? this is latest model?), interface screens need personalization, fitment on my install/trim needs more work (rushed). But the bones work. I have a lot of reading to do.

I hope to get it sorted eventually, but tomorrow I think we’re headed to Moab. Be back with more updates asap.

Is the volume button on the left side?

if you have 06 or 07 LC100, you need connect 1 wire to bypass the passenger air bag warning .
My seller worked with me via video chat and concluded that there was something wrong with the Canbus that came with the Android 11 unit. So they sent another one with all the wiring harnesses again. I was able to get this one working right away - AC and all. I have to sort out the radio - it worked fine before crammed everything back in, but on first drive, I couldn't find stations and signals were very weak. I wonder whether the antenna wire came unplugged as I was struggling to put it all back in. The only other issue is the passenger side airbag warning light. I only have it lit up on the dash but not on the button on the right panel. I know someone had provided a fix (two additional wires) on one of the previous pages, but honestly I didn't quite understand what he meant. Are we talking about the AC Hi harness, which has a plug into the main AC control and two little plugs for the modules on the side panels? use two additional wires to connect two pins (2 and 3) from the passenger side little plug on the Tesla harness to 2 of the pins on the main AC Hi plug on the Tesla harness?

I bought the 360 degree cameras with it and so far they are working, so it’s not the original back up camera. I think the unit is just a head and runs into the OEM amp. I certainly didn’t buy an amp. The audio sounds clearer to me than it did when I was connecting my iPhone with an aftermarket Bluetooth module. Everything seems to work; radio, climate, defrosters. This said, I can’t find a screen that gives me the outside temp. I also can’t find the screen that has the tire pressure monitor readings. I got external sensors with the unit. Of course, the OEM tire pressure light on the dash is still blinking, as it has been for most of the 11 years I’ve owned the truck! If I were less lazy, I’d put a piece of duct tape over it. We were skiing most of the day so I haven’t explored it a lot. I’ll poke around the functions more over the next couple of days. I used Ways and my music library while driving today and it was easy and very handy. I stopped using the OEM NAV system years ago since it was such a pain in the neck. Here’s a pic of the unit in the dash.
