Hi,
cannot say anything about European market, NA UZJ100L-GNAEKA does not have rear heater.
Here is the control (88610-60121-B1):
rear_control.jpg

Note how it depicted on the buttons: hot air comes only to the feet, while AC only blows from the top.
You can switch rear control ON only from console, and it can be switched OFF either from console or from it's own button OFF.
Heat will control dampers to deliver hot air from the rear central console registers and will switch rear blower under the driver sit.
Cold will switch the rear AC on (rear right quarter panel, right after the wheel well), and it will blow cold air from the headliner registers.

I believe that's how my LX is too... but I don't sit in the back.

North european versions doesn’t have rear AC, but rear heater, just like the 40, 60 and 80 series did here, usually located under the pass. seat or centre console.
I thought the “REAR” switch was for that?

The biggest thing is my HVAC doesn’t blow down towards the feet.
Hello Christian
Did you succeed to have AC blowing toward the Feets ?
I am encountering the same issue

I did my first install attempt yesterday. I ended up re-installing the factory unit in order to drive normally. The unit it functional, but I've got two major issues to overcome and a handful of minor ones.

Major:
-No sound. If I crank the volume up all the way, I think I might hear something. This is promising. (2005 LC, factory amp)

-I couldn't get the new unit to fit due to the rat's nest of wires behind it. How did you guys find room?

Minor:
-No instructions in the box. Not even Chinese ones.

-I don't see how to turn on the side mirror heaters. There's no physical button anymore and I didn't see a soft one on initial inspection.

-There's a multi-pin connector with two USB-A cables attached that I assume are for Carplay? But there's also a USB port on the back of the unit. What's that one for?

-Units are in metric instead of imperial.

The no sound was corrected by someone in here... I don't remember how it was fixed.

You have to tuck the cables nicely to make it work. I hid the factory AC module behind the tesla radio. A second set of hands will help.

Nope... they left everyone out there in their underwear with the instructions or should I say lack off.

Correct. the two USB-A connector is for: CarPlay and data. the one on the radio I have has a HDMI not USB.

You can change that in the settings. You can also show the outside temperature, F instead of C, etc, etc.

Where did you get the unit? There are at least 4 different ones out there that I’m aware of: 2 Android 9 at phoenixauto, ZF1301 on ali and Android 8.x at rhino. All of them have mirrors heater controls, either hard or soft buttons.
Rat nest: be patient, like you are packing your parachute, it will fit. No force, 16 years old wires and connectors may not like it.
Sound: you are either missing +12 on amp ON pin or . When you play with sound keep the volume very low, I saw on one of the forums some dude had it on max, when amp kicked… hello new speakers, 16 years old surrounds said goodbye.
All USB ports are the same. I use one on the radio for ADAS DVR.
Instructions on chinise is 1.5 page long, nothing useful there at all.
There are two settings: Advanced and system.
You may need password for both (and passwords may be different). Write down what you have right now, before you start playing, there is no undo button and reset to factory will not reset some settings.
Temperature, miles, etc. in the advanced settings.
Core like protocols in the system.
BTW, one of the settings controls how to display car controls. May be missing mirrors button is controlled there.
Hope it helps.

My PX6 arrived this week, I haven't installed it yet but had a question on Keys. My wife recently lost the original Lexus key, we have another from a vendor on here that the PO had made. My question is, does Lexus (or any key manufacturer) need the original master to make a new key and what roll does the security light have in making and programming a new key? My understanding is that light will go away with this unit, although I saw someone in this thread modified it for an older 100 series. But there was something that the light or immobilizer is needed for programming new keys. What role does the light play in programming the new key? Can it be done without the light?

Mine is a 2006 LX470, thanks.

Not sure I understood the question.
The key has transponder and remote.
You need TS software with OBD cable (or dealer-stealer) to register new transponder with ECU. To re-connect remote there is a sequence of actions so the key re-synch with body control.
Dealer will require VIN and proof of ownership to make a new key. If you lost last master key, it’s slightly different story, although dealer does not need master key (pretty sure).
The security light is just an indicator. Most (if not all) PX6 units retain the light.

Thank you for the answers, my PX6 does not have a spot for the security light (little red light). It has holes for the mic and for the reset button but no light on the front of the unit. Can you post a pic of where yours is at on the unit?

That light is blinking when the key is not in the ignition and not blinking when it is in. I thought I had read that if you need a new key, to program it, you needed to be able to see that security light to indicate your key is programmed properly? If the PX6 unit doesn't have it I was worried I wouldn't be able to have a 2nd key made.

Original Lexus key lost, only key I have for it is from YotaMD, can I program new key with the PX6 installed?

Sorry this is getting off topic, if this needs to be moved to another thread I can create one.

Thanks,

has anyone had issues with getting the defrost and rear ac to work on their px6 Tesla unit? Their are 4 buttons on the bottom of the unit. The off button with turns the ac on and off works fine but the rear defrost, rear, and side mirror defrost won’t work.
YES.... I have this same issue, the "J" is plugged in nice and tight....Only off works, so frustrating.

I'm new to this site and so far it's badass-full-of-knowledge. Spent the last few hours reading up on the PX6 here. I'm having major issues and hoping to get resolved since Phoenix is no help, otherwise I'm shipping it back.
Installed in a 2003 LC w/NAV:
1. I have loud floor noise that gets louder when my headlights turn on
2. Only the "OFF" button works out of the 4 at the bottom (yep, the "J" is plugged in tight)
3. Touch Screen "REAR", "REAR HEAT" and "DUAL" do NOT work
4. Volume 1, is sooooo loud. Tried adjusting under; Settings, More Settings, Media Volume..... That works but it does not save the next time it turns on.
Any help I can get on this would be super frickin fantastic

Which one did you get from phoenix?
I guess that one, 32G

Or
64G

I had 64G.
All controls were working correctly, no issues whatsoever after playing with system and advanced settings. After dances with tambourine around the unit I made OEM rear camera functional too. The issue that I was not able to resolve was HUGE white background noise in the speakers even when volume is 0. Played with different grounding configurations. Had couple of long calls with their tech, finally he told me that the issue is the unit itself and there is no way to resolve it. I had to return the radio. Other than that I LOVED it.
There is a way around for making it work normally - not so loud and less noise - with OEM amplifier - you switch output to aux output on the unit, looks like it designed for aftermarket amplifier.

Headlights: do you have OEM halo?

Mine is 2005 UZJ100L-GNAEKA

The background noise is the multi-ground setup the in stock system, if you go to an aftermarket amp and single ground it’s completely gone. I chased it for weeks and finally decided to either go this route or return the PX6 … have been happy with everything working in an ‘06 LC for over a year 😉

Thanks for the reply. I bought (2) 4 g ram 32 g rom Android 9.0, first one had same issue, returned for new one. I actually paid a well received installer and he had my car for 6 weeks, then I was finally done, I kinda needed my car back. Phoenix is now offering to exchange the unit. My headlights are OEM. Rear camera works great, all though I do wish it gave a warning beep, but thats pretty minor compared to the other issues i am having.

That is awesome. I really REALLY want this to work and I really don't want to pay anymore install fees. I'm pretty handy, so with help from you guys I think i can do it. With that said, I have no idea where my amp is or what to do there.....

I went with this Kenwood amp, what you need is 5-channel (4 speakers + sub) and the ability to handle 2 & 4 ohm speakers (factory are 2ohm, most aftermarket 4ohm). This one fits well under the seat when you remove the factory amp 😉

Thanks again. Will check it out.
Did you have issues with your antenna? Mine only comes up about 3 inches....

Thanks,
I do not know about LX, but all those procedures like open/close door 5.5 times, jump out of the car and turn 3 times, press accelerator 21 times within 1.2 seconds did not work on TLC, and I did not find it in shop manual. But TS procedure works, with master key. I *believe* any working master key is good, I did it long time ago with TLC and original master key. You see everything on the computer screen and you do not need security light.
See my previous post for the links for phoenix units.

Dang, really wanting to install this PX6 in my '07 LX but admit I'm a little gun shy. I'm not the handiest when it comes to electronics, swapping out amps, installing backup camera, etc.
