It’s in there. May not be grey but I think it plugged into J. Yes, everything was working on the screen but my buttons were not until we found that missing connection.
That's great news... I'll try it.

J is the Air Key "Jcak" (I love how the misspelled several of the words LOL) I need new glasses... I missed it.

Thanks!

So...based on over a year of R&D and testing, is it worth getting? Seems like most of the bugs are worked out.

I just ordered a unit for my '04 LX70 from Phoenix Automotive. Can anyone that has recently placed an order with them and received their unit tell me how long it took to receive their order. They told me 1 to 2 weeks just to ship, but might be longer, might be sooner, no real idea. Thanks!

I ordered mine first of May I believe and it took a couple of weeks for it to arrive from China. Once it actually shipped it only took a few days to make its way via UPS.

So I've installed one of the PX6 radios from Phoenix Automotive in my 2005 LX470. For the most part everything is working as it should (Apple CarPlay wired and wireless, Climate controls, Steering wheel controls etc) but the one issue I'm having is that the sound output even maxed at 40 is super low and sounds generally like crap. I've read all 39 pages and made notes along with accessing the settings area that requires code 8861 but I can't find the "console" location for amp settings.

If I can get the audio portion figured out without running a new 5 channel amp and speakers (and installing a new backup camera) I should be completely up and running. Thanks in advance for any help!

Got some help from Sergey on the Facebook group and all seems well. I didn't realize that the top row of icons on the home screen scrolled (I'm an idiot) and that's where the "Console" settings were at.

Under the amp settings I changed Bass to 3, treble to 5 and mids to 4 along with current volume to 40 and it sounds tons better.

I've been pretty happy with the PX6 installation, so far. A couple of issues to still work out. Main one is ground loop noise. I've read that this is caused by grounding in different locations, which makes sense. The head unit is grounded through the harness and I grounded the new amp to the body under the seat. I'm worried about grounding the amp via the same ground wire that's in the head unit harness. I don't know that it's big enough or what it connects to in the factory electronics. I'm wondering about connecting the ground location for the amp to the ground wire in the head unit harness with a jumper wire so they are essentially on the same ground. Thoughts?

Did a 2 day road trip up to CO last weekend. I'll just say that my wife and I both LOVE this PX6 upgrade. It was so nice to have the new technology, apps, siriusXM radio, etc. Found the GAIA GPS app which is going to be amazing for riding trails and the light overlanding we plan to do. I would say that if your expectations are within reason, this thing is incredible. I'm not trying to do anything I wouldn't really do or expect to be able to do with a modern factory nav/entertainment system. However, I know it's capable of so much more. Again, I can't say enough good things about Sergey and the incredible improvement his firmware made on this device. I'm still figuring out some bugs on the google side - the google maps app doesn't seem to want to use my phone hotspot data to retrieve the background map. Really, I'd like to switch the nav app to GAIA but, no biggie.
This was a bigger project than I anticipated but I'm really glad I did it. Between this, the 3" lift and the new BFG 285s I put on last week - we are in love with this truck like never before.

FYI PX6 is not the best Android processor.
If they offered the latest tech I would of went Tesla. Instead I chose 9" unit with the
UIS7862 chip 6gb ram/128gb rom.
Also has optical out eliminating RCA noise interference when running external amplifiers. Optical out to my DSP is the plan.
Did I mention wireless Apple Carplay and Wireless Android Auto?

Are any manufacturers selling this version?

Have not seen a Tesla screen with these specs yet. My unit arrived today straight from China. This one is specifically for 98-02 with non-nav.

has anyone had issues with getting the defrost and rear ac to work on their px6 Tesla unit? Their are 4 buttons on the bottom of the unit. The off button with turns the ac on and off works fine but the rear defrost, rear, and side mirror defrost won’t work.

Double check that you have all the connections on the back made correctly. Check an earlier part of this thread where we discussed this issue. I had a problem with my buttons on the bottom of the unit when I did the initial install. There was a plug connection from the harness to the PX6 unit that I had missed.

The digital buttons that control the airflow ( foot or chest level vents) also control the defroster

I confirm there is a connector that needs to be plugged into J for the 4 buttons to work. I was able to open the dash, find the connector and plug-in in about 30 secs. Took about 30mins to get everything back together and now it looks like crap cause nothing wanted to go back the way it was. Oh well at the least the buttons work.

This is what it looked like when I pulled the headunit. I found the cable on the left side
